Having a Championship game called off for a cold pitch
No doubt about itI think there maybe a bit of planning involved. Cup game next. 2 weeks for Mick work his magic, players to recover from injury (we don't know how many were out) and for new signings to arrive. Disappointed but it's for the best. .
Would a massive electric blanket work?Under soil heating
We could have a whip round.Would a massive electric blanket work?
Imagine if it was Fleetwood.Maybe we should have the council as the groundsman instead, some kids matches are still going ahead this morning and they only spend about an hr a year working on the grass and literally no money.
Wasn’t that included in the prem legacy?Under soil heating
Don’t be childishImagine if it was Fleetwood.
And it’s supposed to be +4 or5 this afternoonHe sun is shining the forecast is decent and its 4 hours to kick off
He’s right thoughDon’t be childish
SW corner. Said on another thread it maybe poss to just u/s heat that small area for the future? He sun is shining the forecast is decent and its 4 hours to kick off
Even bloody Barrow across Morecambe bay is on the edge of the Lake District as well.Don’t be childish
BFC wasnt built in a day!!!Imagine if it was Fleetwood.
Sorry but just not acceptable a championship club being called off for a bit of fronts the only one in the championship as it stands.
Thats how l read the situation InsyI think there maybe a bit of planning involved. Cup game next. 2 weeks for Mick work his magic, players to recover from injury (we don't know how many were out) and for new signings to arrive. Disappointed but it's for the best. .
My son's made it to Killington Lake.
Turn around and come home
Huddersfield fans will be really unhappy.
We've a long way to go before we get the infrastructure right.

Surely fill some watering cans up with hot water and pour on thr bit that frozen, there's hours to go and it'll be above freezing so won't re freeze.Would a massive electric blanket work?
Read my post on the other thread Phil, at least it is one thing I know about and there aren't many!! I have lost so many work days since the end of November because of the weather, it's not as simple as you are saying, far from it. The only way we could have saved it was by having undersoil heating and that should have been a given when we got in the EPL so it is down strictly to the scum that were in charge then, it's not the current regime's fault. It may be something they are considering of course but it has to be done pre-season and then the cost of running it.He sun is shining the forecast is decent and its 4 hours to kick off
C u all at Southampton then - we move forward - its better than losing 3 points today and give Mr McCarthy another week to prepare and get a few more fit/check some 'sick notes' and give the F A Cup fixture our best push - we have a chance against Soton if we can get a decent 15 players fit.I think there maybe a bit of planning involved. Lighting rigs are for grass growth. No mention of heaters, do we have any?Maybe they didn’t use the lighting rigs / heaters. The fact that they mentioned that they did use them gives the impression they are protesting too much.
Or maybe I’m just a cynic.
Yes the club has zero say in pitch playability. Not exactly sure on how the law stands on a postponement, but doesn’t the decision rest with the referee? Any advice on this.
