I was out for my walk this morning and two old blokes were stood talking wearing masks and then said goodbye and shook hands and weren’t wearing gloves!
Interesting Donk I tend to find the German approach quite sensible so surely there must be something in it?Now Germany is masking up
BBC News - Coronavirus: Germany's states make face masks compulsory
Coronavirus: Germany's states make face masks compulsory
Bremen is the last of Germany's 16 states to require using face masks on public transport.www.bbc.co.uk
This is what annoys me about the WHO and other well funded health organisations, they can't even advise us about the bleeding obvious.Interesting Donk I tend to find the German approach quite sensible so surely there must be something in it?
Cheers for the bump btw
Calm down, it's a world wide issue and the WHO still won't recommend mask wearing. That useless fecker Chief Medical Officer, Whitty Witless is still undecided. He’s part of the problem, giving Boris shit advice from the beginning.
It’s kind of bleeding obvious.
Probably more so than washing hands.
“Wholly unrealistic to expect life to return to normal soon.”
No Whitty. It is realistic.
Czech Republic did it in 3 days. So plenty of time before the next proposed easement of lockdown in 2 1/2 wks.
Commission / procure enough surgical masks. Distribute them.
For everyone else, instruct people how to make their own. Even the lowest 30% two-way protection is better than fuck all and hope for the best.
How many times does a sneeze take you by surprise & if you've got a wad of tissues in your pocket it erupts as you try to unfold it, making a it a bit like using a sieve as a condom. Droplets can remain airborne for considerable time, we share a couple of vans at work & all the hand washing in the world won't combat anything if someone has sneezed before you get in. There probably could be a good case made to wear masks, but we would all have to & we would need to change them on a regular basis, if they are struggling to get them for front line services then it's not going to happen. I guess we'll just have to continue to reduce normal contact where unnecessary & take our chance, until/if we get a vaccine/treatment.This is what annoys me about the WHO and other well funded health organisations, they can't even advise us about the bleeding obvious.
- Cover your mouth if and when you cough or sneeze in the proximity of other people.
Or as my Nan used to say :-
- Coughs and sneezes spread diseases always use your hankerchiezes!
If the mighty powerhouse of the Czech Republic can get themselves organised in 3 days, it’s a poor deal if we can’t do the same. Got to have the desire and the will to do it though. How many times does a sneeze take you by surprise & if you've got a wad of tissues in your pocket it erupts as you try to unfold it, making a it a bit like using a sieve as a condom. Masks which prevent the wearer spreading the disease don't need to be up to the same standard as the type front line nursing staff need. How many times does a sneeze take you by surprise & if you've got a wad of tissues in your pocket it erupts as you try to unfold it, making a it a bit like using a sieve as a condom. Agreed, a no brainer, so even the brainless MSM should still be able to understand.Exactly Don. It really seems like a no brainer to me that we should be wearing face coverings of some sort, especially when they ease the lockdown particularly where it is impractical to stay 2m apart like public transport.
Not sure how you would work it in cafes, pubs and restaurants where people are eating and drinking though!
