After watching the hi lights Liverpool v Newcastle no wonder Eddie Howe was fuming and rather than award the penalties yellow cards should be given. What on earth were the VAR people doing 🤷🏽‍♂️

They've all been doing it for years. Premier league is hard to watch with the "he felt a touch and was entitled to go down" line the sycophantic pundits trot out. Var has done nothing to deal with it. In fact I think it's got worse due to the slowing down of alleged physical assaults that are actually just slightly mistimed tackles.

Also the pundits are telling us it's alright to go down in the area to EARN your team a penalty.
And as for them saying there was slight contact, it's a game of football there will be (contact).
And then there is OUR level, where it seems we combine football with rugby and wrestling especially when Dembele is involved and generally we get nothing.
You just could not make it up.

Yep, until there is a root and branch overhaul of football, starting with the players who are constantly falling over at the slightest touch, the football media who endorse this "he felt contact" nonsense and the referees who seem unable to recognise a dangerous bad tackle with intent as opposed to an error of judgement, football will remain in thrall to players who cheat to gain an advantage.

Every single club in the country has players that do it, and it`s wrong and harmful to the game.

Interesting that the Newcastle goalkeeper has said today that he "did make contact with Jota and therefore technically it was a penalty"....

After the spurs incident everyone knew that Liverpool would get every var decision going and that is exactly what's happened. That penalty decision last night stinks of corruption

Even by normal standards Liverpool have been on the wrong end of most decisions this season. Notwithstanding that the game was won by that stage.
