Hi all, just wondering what train everyone is thinking of taking to Preston Saturday. Always like a good atmosphere on the train, and no doubt we will be kettled in as well when we get there. Safety in numbers

Most will have booked coach travel I suspect because when the tickets were on sale the trains should have been on strike on Saturday

I'm getting to Preston station for 10am, coming from the other way though as I live in Manchester. My old man is meeting me coming from Blackpool

9-30ish train from Blackpool South and then a few beers at those couple of pubs by Preston train station

Was aiming for Poulton Elk on opening and then 1008 from Poulton. Only thing is it says online that The Station & The Old Vic don’t open til 11am.

You’d like to think the police would have the common sense to request they both open at 10, I notice one of them normally opens at 10 in the week bit not on a Saturday

I don't think they want us there full stop, so it's unlikely they would persuade pubs to open an hour earlier for us! Think they would rather us drink in Blackpool/Poulton.

Possibly but those two pubs have been designated as the away pubs. seems a bit pointless if they aren’t opening till 11, Blackpool will start arriving from about half 9 onwards so if it’s not any of them we will have to find somewhere else

You ok with it going to the petfood bank, we’re supporting it at my shop in conjunction with the BFC Community Trust?Better causes than me mate. Give it to a good charity, hopefully we can have the same bet next season. Gav must be more optimistic he’s not offered to pay up yet
