Trains for Saturday??

Yes they start at Blackpool North and go tomManchester Airport vis Bolton (or closeby) bit of a hike from there — plenty of them

Blackpool North direct to Horwich Parkway (avoid getting off at Bolton as it’s a lot further from the ground itself).

I think there are 2 trains per hour.

Just be prepared for cold and potentially long wait after the game. 3 trains came and went once, think after the Prem game, before getting on one at about quarter past 6 which was so full you couldn’t move until a few folk got off at Preston.

When we played them that last game of the season I left bang on the final whistle, brisk walk to the station and on the first train away.

You could get the train to lostock 17.13
Then get the 17.27 back to Blackpool. Would ensure you're on the 17.30 from horwich at least

Only 3 mins each way. Probably get away without a ticket. Or just buy return ticket to lostock rather than horwich.

Train cancellations are a joke at the moment so I’d give yourself time to get there - flip side is there’s nothing around the ground at all

Bus replacement to Preston then train to Bolton from here. fuming! was one of my away games. J A Rank trains!!!!
said it before if you don't like it ..get another job!!!

Anyone have any info?
Yeah, trains are a series of connecting vehicles that travel along tracks. Invented in the 1800s and a major reason why seaside towns like Blackpool developed. A bloke called Beeching did a government review in the 1960s and shut down lines and iconic stations like Blackpool Central and its been downhill ever since. In the modern era a lot of trains that are supposed to turn up, actually don't. That's all the info I have. Any help ?

Anyone thinking of getting a quick getaway after the game can forget it. The 17.01 to Bpool North has already been cancelled.

Beeching was not responsible for shutting Blackpool Central. It was a land deal between the council and local businessmen. This is well documented. It was closed at a very convenient time to coincide with the Beeching closures.
