Transfer of Season Tickets allowed - official!

Quite a good move by the club- clearly an accident then. It may encourage a couple of people to pool resource and buy a ST where, solo, they wouldn't have bought one.

3 games is a little bit odd because it's common knowledge as to how you can get round it anyway.

still seems a lot of faffing around to me. The only person I'm likely to pass my season ticket on to is my youngest lad. Should be able to do it much more simply than going through ticketmaster and having to do a print at home ticket. Previous discussions on the transfer to digital and some were bringing in to play the environment with regards to plastic cards. Yet here we are having to print tickets on paper. So much for the environment and chopping down trees eh!

Only thing is, for those who weren't sure and bought physical, releasing this a couple of days before the season starts is too late, everyone has bought by now.

I'm on digital but probably won't be sharing anyway, as I'll be going.

Good for anyone who wants to share and has digital though, as long as they're in the same category, doesn't sound like you could even share from an adult to a senior, even though it's less.

For the ultimate freedom, much like with cash, having the physical card is still superior.

If you're different age categories then you can't digitally anyway.

But yes the print at home bit is a bit old now, they should reconfigure the ticket so it's easier to scan the barcode on people's phone, so they don't have to print if they don't want to or can't.

It was possible, as I did it once for a cup game, but it meant zooming and turning the phone etc, it wasn't as easy as it could be.

Wait until we’re mid table playing Shrewsbury at home in January a Tuesday night game in heavy rain and wind. Let’s see how difficult they make it then!!!

and of course what chance of some-one who only realises they are unable to go an hour or so before kick off. Is there a guarantee that ticketmaster will action the request to transfer the ticket to some-one else as soon as the request is received? It can't be an aoutomated process as they won't know who to send the email to? It surely requires some-one to physically put that information in. Yep, I don't see this running smoothly and have little faith in this system.

I don’t think someone who doesn’t even have a smart phone should be chipping in with tech advice to be honest 20s

Nope - it will automatically send ticket to e-mail address for the linked account.

even if you want to pass it on to different people for different matches? Can you have more than one linked account?
You can have multiple accounts that you can allocate tickets to. I added somebody yesterday so that they could use my son's ST on saturday.

I don't for one second think the digital pass is driven by environmental concerns, but there's a huge difference between single-use plastics and timber/paper.

Single use plastic I've had my season ticket card since 2019 and it still worked.
Whilst getting my new plastic ST card last week the club kindly threw my old one in the bin.😃

Just stupid, people should have been able to keep their existing one. Just charge the £20 if people need a replacement. As I said, I don't for one second think the digital pass was driven by environmental concerns.

It’s different/new tech - hence a new card.

I am in France , so cannot attend, I used the online forwarding facility last night, so my son who is driving up from Brizzle to watch the game , can use my ticket . It worked really well and he received an e-mail instantly to confirm , no cost to either of us. Brilliant idea. Thankyou the Mighty Pool.
Wouldn't even know where to start, I'm sure then I'll be called a bedwetter or some other name. 🤷

On a slightly different note , changing from bt to ee next week , I know it’s same company, but will be changing SIM card but keeping the same phone . Will this cause issues with my digital ticket ? Advice very welcome .

Nope...you'll be fine as its a Google/Apple linked account action so the provider of your mobile voice and data is ambivalent.

However, having said that, if you do have any issues, come back her and I (at least) will help you get get through any issues.

Cheers.

Appreciate that . Thank you .

Incredibly disrespectful to our senior and elderly supporters who struggle to navigate the world of digitisation and smart phone centric ticketing.

Have a word with yourself.

This is about sharing season tickets for those with the digital ticket as people thought the option was gone now and nothing to do with someone’s age as anyone who doesn’t fancy the digital can still do a card version?
