If you look at our squad with unbiased eyes we are simply weaker that almost everyone in this division.

Failures at board level to recruit the right manager aside we have missed out on strengthening the team when we had the the chance and that has led to our demise.

Losing Marv, Stewart and latterly Thorniley, Trybull and Goode to injury have been the final nail but we have missed clear opportunities.

Why not sign Wintle when he was on loan? Why faff about with the fee on Brannagan? Why not immediately sign another striker when Bishop was not signed? (Only three recognised strikers at this level and one is Lavery was never going to work).

Yes McCarthy has been poor but Appleton’s ineptitude was what sent us down. Let’s just concentrate on getting the new manager in place in time to get into the transfer market early and recruit to their style of play.

Wintle wasn’t available. Our current idiot manager deemed him surplus to requirements at Cardiff, then his successor brought him back at the earliest opportunity. A fee was agreed for Brannagan over the summer but he turned us down. You can’t blame the club for those two scenarios.
The striker signing or lack of was utterly ridiculous.

I honestly think we have an owner who's heart is in the right place however I think he's realised that he hasn't got the financial might to be in the championship and he's relying on absolute buffoons to run his club.
I haven't before but I might be inclined to say...possibly.

We've an owner who pays a guy 3 x more than the average championship CEO and it is he who has failed our club.

He should go as quickly as MM. Both are accountable in different ways.

BM more so in my eyes. He's the one with his hands on the tiller and he's ultimately responsible for this season's sh!t show.

The truth is….

From the board to the players, we’ve been bloody sh*t all season, really.

Don’t see how anyone could complain ‘we don’t deserve to be relegated’ (And, in fairness, I don’t see too many saying that), because we’ve been dreadful from Day 1 & relegation is what inevitably happens to teams like that.

That’s the bottom line.

When you think what a failure recruitment of players and managers have been over the 18 months do you think things are going to suddenly get better under this lot? There is more chance they will continue to make big fuck ups and we are more likely to be fighting relegation to league 2 than promotion to the Championship.

The squad is terrible. There are players who wouldn’t make Fleetwood’s team. We haven’t got one permanent player who would make an average Championship side like Cardiff.
But that’s clearly not true. Rotherham’s squad includes two players who were terrible here, 36 year old Lee Peltier and a few ex PNE. Reading have an average age of about 40. Wigan don’t have a good squad. There’s a few more.
We’ve got a few decent championship players and a few more good league one players. A half decent manager who drills the players, picks the talented ones and has some tactics keeps this squad up.

Only Ekpiteta that I would put forward as Championship class. Bowler as well but he isn’t ours. Maybe actually Keshi if he can get a run of games.

The average seems to be about £300k

The choice of managers has been terrible ,,,including Critchley ,,,sorry Critchley lovers ,,,,also ,,,its the same old same old ,,,always relying on loans,,,,these are only stop gap ,,,need players signed on contracts ,,,need a young hungry manager ,,,who has great ideas ,,,good attacking attractive football ,,,who can attract decent players ,,that are young hungry and dynamic, keen to play well ,,,

10 players out today is just bloody ridiculous. I don’t think we’ve had less than 6 players out injured every game this season.
Ekpiteta was due back in feb now April and no signs?
Lavery they said beginning of April. No signs?
Stewart and Bridcutt were supposedly back on the grass ??
Thornley sue back today ? Didn’t happen
Beesley Madine Goode Trybull probably out till next season ?
Never known owt like it the injuries we’ve had the past two seasons
Plus two utter dog shit managers
