As they weren't selected, could there be offers in for the two of them ?
Couldn't care less about Trybull. Strange why Lyons isn't in the starting 11.As they weren't selected, could there be offers in for the two of them ?
Not the managers obviously. That's why I'm thinking that there could be offers in for the both of them. They're both in everybody's starting 11 aren't they ?
Where have you got this info from mate?Apparently Lyon’s wants to go and thinks he should be playing in the Championship.
I've heard exactly the same thing and it's lead to a fall out. Probably same source !Where have you got this info from mate?
If you're no Alan Nixon, I guess we should believe you then?Lyons wants away is what I've heard, too good for League One. Might be total bollocks but who knows, I'm no Alan Nixon !
That doesn't answer the question? What source?I've heard exactly the same thing and it's lead to a fall out. Probably same source !
So do ILyons should be looking at this season as a chance to really develop under a really good coach. He has plenty of time to progress through the leagues. If he is agitating for a move 6 months after joining then I question his attitude.
I said on another post earlier in the week that I couldn't second guess Critch's team selection but today I did, even to the absence of Apter on the bench.Trybull has been superb pre-season
Playing Connolly out of position ahead of Lyons and then preferring Casey is weird
Both are in our best 11
I doubt Lyons is troubling the accountants too much, I suspect his agent wants a new Merc though! Trybull, who knows?Maybe the club is looking at how it can balance the books and bring in players to strengthen? Sell the likes of Lyons and Trybull and sign cheaper options. Get a million for Lyons and bring in 2 players? Trybull maybe just sees L1 as too low a level. Maybe he had a relegation clause and his pay dropped?
Offers ? Does he want out should be the question.Lyons not playing because he has offers makes no sense.
If he has offers why wouldn’t we play him to help increase his price?
Made sense not to play Jerry in pre season since it was just pre season and his move was imminent.
Think Lyons not playing has more to do with Critch favoring the players he’s signed.
Hope Lyons is like Husband and Madine were during 2020/2021 where they were initially left out, but then proved too good to not play as the season went on.
Maybe Lyons isn't quite as ready as we think he is, but why Connolly ahead of Thompson?Trybull has been superb pre-season

I’m sorry but I completely disagree with “There’s no smoke without fire.”Offers ? Does he want out should be the question.
I have no idea if the story I was told is true, but coincidently another person posted exactly the same thing as I did at the same time.
Hopefully it's nonsense, but what's the old saying. There's no smoke........
Hope you're right, I really like Lyons and he is a much better option than Connolly or CJ as wide of a 5.I’m sorry but I completely disagree with “There’s no smoke without fire.”
There are made up rumors on this forum all the time that are completely unsubstantiated.
I think Critch just prefers players he knows and Lyons simply isn’t one (yet), which is why he didn’t start.
Completely agree, Lyons should be one of the first names on the team sheet and is a crucial player to not only get us up, but help us in the Championship.Hope you're right, I really like Lyons and he is a much better option than Connolly or CJ as wide of a 5.
Let's hope he is playing Championship football with us next season and winning caps for ROI.
And does Thompson fit the same thought?I’m sorry but I completely disagree with “There’s no smoke without fire.”

Maybe since he wasn’t a Critch signing, but I wouldn’t say they’re the same since Thompson wasn’t our best player over the last 10 games in the Championship like Lyons was.And does Thompson fit the same thought?
Im sure he was Peter. We had to wait til Jan 1st for him to become a Seasider.like i said last week, Lyons wasn't signed by Critch.
I don’t see why Apter can’t come on today instead of Dale, who’s not worked here and doesn’t look like he will.A little bit gutted Apter wasn’t involved at all either. We do look light at the moment in forward positions for options and really thought this season could be one where he breaks through. I really really like the kid and i know it’s only one game but want him to get his oppertunity he’s been a joy to watch all pre season.
Agree. Dale’s never been a striker either just shows how light we are in depth.I don’t see why Apter can’t come on today instead of Dale, who’s not worked here and doesn’t look like he will.
Lyons is worth 5 times as much as Moxon. How much would Lyons be worth compared to say Moxon?
Or, as someone else indicated, he knows the team he wants to play on Tuesday, and felt (rightly) that the team he picked today were good enough to win. Keep the opposition guessing. We’ll soon know if that’s the case.Maybe since he wasn’t a Critch signing, but I wouldn’t say they’re the same since Thompson wasn’t our best player over the last 10 games in the Championship like Lyons was.
Hell, you could even argue that outside of Yates, Lyons was our best performer last year, which is why it’s so egregious that he didn’t start. But it is only one game.
Just hope it’s Critch taking time to integrate and trust players he doesn’t know instead of him potentially being off.
Doubt it since Tuesday is irrelevant.Or, as someone else indicated, he knows the team he wants to play on Tuesday, and felt (rightly) that the team he picked today were good enough to win. Keep the opposition guessing. We’ll soon know if that’s the case.
I watched a vastly improved team (specifically the first half) in tangerine this afternoon compared to any game last year (ok: Forest excepted). Why? Because, especially in the first half, the way we won possession AND kept it. Where did that come from? The new players? Critch’s coaching/order?Maybe since he wasn’t a Critch signing, but I wouldn’t say they’re the same since Thompson wasn’t our best player over the last 10 games in the Championship like Lyons was.

Very fair and true, it is probably whiny of me to criticize Critch after a 2-0 win just because he didn’t play one player.I watched a vastly improved team (specifically the first half) in tangerine this afternoon compared to any game last year (ok: Forest excepted). I hope Pennington came off more as a precaution than an injury. In fact, I was highly impressed by all our newbies.
Apart from the fact that we didn’t get a second half goal/another from Shane, the afternoon couldn’t have been better.
Which brings me to your thoughts on “new player integration”. Or should I say ‘new to Critch’? Lyons and Thompson in particular: both have their good/strong points. Critch is a highly rated coach. Why shouldn’t we trust that he will get the best out of them in the future?
Critch signed Dale. Simples!I don’t see why Apter can’t come on today instead of Dale, who’s not worked here and doesn’t look like he will.
