TV and FA Cup money

Turning out to be a lucrative FA Cup so far. Have just been reading this ..

For those fortunate enough to be picked for TV coverage, a total of over £100,000 is up for grabs to each side
For replays, it's less but still comes in at around £50,000.

So that's £150k in TV money, plus we've made £108k in prize money and after next week's replay we'll be over £350k better off in gate receipts plus everything else that comes with the club getting a higher profile.

Oyston always used to say clubs don't budget for prize money (and OO probably pocketed it anyway) but that's not a bad little bonus.

(BTW - another £105k prize money for a win next week and if we end up playing West Ham - gate recipes from that could be upwards of another £400k?

Just to be clear, are you saying we are due up to £50k for this being a televised replay. If so, why would we be due the £100k as well? Sorry if I'm misreading.

Edit: Helpful posters have put me right below. The Bromley match.

ITS a bonus . just any extra cash througout the season . its on ITV BORE . i mean 4. two pound fifty channel that programmes go to die.

What is your estimation of lost gate receipts next week because the match is on TV?
I think it's going to be busy.

A good few people I know have approached me for tickets who don't usually attend; I've just bought tickets for my normal group of three plus four extra.

There is a big away fans allocation which is also a draw for fans; to come for the atmosphere.

I'm looking forward to a big crowd.

At those prices we should be close to a sell out but we won't be, I reckon the gate will be around 12k with Forest selling their allocation.

I'd be pleasantly surprised if it's approaching a home fan midweek attendance.

Midweek games aren't as well attended, exiles don't always bother, young kids etc. Add to that it's on TV.

It wasn't well attended last season, although they are a better prem side now and we're not depressed like last season. But they aren't a huge prem draw and we played them last season.

The price is good though and may well sway some. Hopefully people are excited for this.
