Turning out to be a lucrative FA Cup so far. Have just been reading this ..
For those fortunate enough to be picked for TV coverage, a total of over £100,000 is up for grabs to each side
For replays, it's less but still comes in at around £50,000.
So that's £150k in TV money, plus we've made £108k in prize money and after next week's replay we'll be over £350k better off in gate receipts plus everything else that comes with the club getting a higher profile.
Oyston always used to say clubs don't budget for prize money (and OO probably pocketed it anyway) but that's not a bad little bonus.
(BTW - another £105k prize money for a win next week and if we end up playing West Ham - gate recipes from that could be upwards of another £400k?
