My guess is that mountings will be the same, or at least easily adaptable, across the range, and probably the whole PSA group, so in theory it ought to be possible, but I don't know for sure.I wouldn't know mate, I have no knowledge on replacement engines.
As a lot of people have already stated, it would cost a fair amount to have the work done, then it could just become a money pit?
You may then need to change the gearbox.Would it be possible to replace the expensive and not very good engine with a cheaper and better one?
Presumably, if you went from petrol to diesel, or vice versa? You may then need to change the gearbox.
Depends on the gearbox mounts, but ratios would be different between enginesPresumably, if you went from petrol to diesel, or vice versa?
Most EV's come with an 8 year 100,000 mile warranty which would be new for old free in the event of it falling to less than 70% efficiency. What model was the 25k quote for? At a quick glance I found a list of prices for a new battery and almost all were less than £10k plus fitting on top, e.g. Porsche Taycan £7,756.Good job it’s not a EV battery as I heard a quote of £25,000 yes £25,000 for a car battery.
I can’t remember what make possibly a Tesla but a work colleague said he been offered the car & it wasn’t that old but had about 95k on the clock & they only wanted £15k for it. But the battery was in need of replacing & that’s where the £25k cost came in. He of course could have been talking bollocks, but he is usually ok.Most EV's come with an 8 year 100,000 mile warranty which would be new for old free in the event of it falling to less than 70% efficiency. Fair enough. It's not something I'd worry too much about. Tesla are bloody fabulous cars too, borrowed a model 3 performance the other day, and it was totally bonkersI can’t remember what make possibly a Tesla but a work colleague said he been offered the car & it wasn’t that old but had about 95k on the clock & they only wanted £15k for it.
