Not 100% sure but I have been told that one case has been found in a Kirkham call centre and the staff have all been sent home. Yet to be officially verified I just hope it is wrong info. Not happy as due to my age I said that I would not go to matches after the first case has been officially announced. Fingers crossed that it wrong.

I heard mention of a firm in LSA earlier but not seen it confirmed
My daughters firm in TC has told her today she can work from home with effect from tomorrow

True story. Energy company on Orders Lane.

I hate to break the news but I suspect it’s quite widely spread already.

People just keeping quiet and not reporting in.

Kerchoooooo!!!!

Have sympathy that some of the wards/areas are understaffed but most of the staff I came across are clueless, infact clueless should be one of the 6 c's of nursing.

Next time you or any family members have the misfortune to go in to the Vic then just let me know and i’ll put the word around regarding your comments I’am sure they will look forward to giving you the best possible attention.

It was a lad at Inspired energy in Kirkham....
It's amazing how Chinese whispers has turned this into something that's mutated into a million different stories.
It's quite scary.

Told to go home and self isolate after being abroad and coming in and not feeling well.
The office got sent home as a precaution....I work with someone who's partner was sent home.....

Oh...the 'rumour' being spread was 4, 6 12 or 20 people turned up at the Vic...today, yesterday or Monday
All complaining of Corona virus symptoms...
Turns out to be true/untrue/made up/ gossip....who the f##k knows
But as of 10 mins ago....NO reports of any infections in Blackpool or the Fylde....... 😳

Jaffa the hut, well said . As of today Blackpool Vic had zero. My wife works at the vic and has done so for 30 plus years , she told me as soon as the first is confirmed it will be known throughout the hospital .
The comments regarding the hospital being sh.... are out of order in my opinion. I’ve always received excellent care and so have the majority I know. Good and bad staff every walk of life, but those lot up at the vic very shortly will be caring possibly for a relative of yours with little thought for themselves, think about that.

I’ve just spoken with my daughter 5 minutes ago who as I said works in the research medicine department and she says it’s absolute bollocks that the Vic are treating people with the Coronavirus.

That said she says it would be very foolish to think it’s not going to come this week next week or the week after but they are fully geared up for it as well as any other major hospital is.

more rumours and gossip being fuelled by the hysterical reaction of Sky and other parts of the media. Just waiting for our clown of a prime minister to move from"taking it on the chin" to closing the country down

If you think this is overhyped then you seriously need to rethink. This is extremely bad and has the potential to wipe out over a third of the population.

Draconian measures are the only way to slow down the virus, but these are too late in this country and many others.

If you think you are safe and never get ill then you need to wake up. Not just older people are at risk, it’s anybody. A friend in Milan has said she has lost 3 friends all in their 30’s and 40’s with no underlying health conditions.

Expect “lock down” measures in this country later today.

I see Italy have had a huge increase in deaths today, it is getting worse quickly there.

They also say it could take at least a couple of months to reach its peak here. it's not only a very scary

It certainly is one of the most serious things to happen worldwide for 70 years but I'm not sure a third is accurate, more like 2 to 5% which is still massive.

They'll hold off closing schools for a week. They can then shut for a month but two weeks of that would be Easter holidays anyway.

I think your right, also I think football will go ahead this week-end

I'm thinking of stopping my gf's lad going to 6th arm college from now. He already has 3 unconditional offers at Uni and has accepted one so he can easily work from home.

I think Sports events etc., will get clobbered later today.

We were due to go to see the WHO in Leeds in a couple of weeks. They have just cancelled their tour until later in the year because of the virus

I've got a Drs appt next Tuesday, had it booked for weeks (very busy with old people in Poulton 😉 ).
Got a text yesterday p.m. telling me to go on this website and fill in the questions.
All about if I've been abroad recently, have I got a runny nose and aching ( I have, but it's been that way for years😉), and one or two others.
All were negative and it said that the Surgery will get back to me. Can't wait.😞

Seems like a bit of a rigmarole just for a repeat prescription of Viagra.
