Best result possible for Labour I'd say. If Johnson limps into the next election they stand a far better chance than if he's replaced by someone (vaguely) sane like Rory Stewart.

They aren't all the same but too many of them think of their own career and party before the country.
Get people who are actually from the constituency to represent the people that live there and scrap the ridiculous first past the post system and we might see some improvements.
Carry on as we are and this country doesn't offer much of a future to most people under 30. Unfortunately most of us are stuck here now!!

There really are some terrible MP's these days. Go back 30 years & at least they seemed pretty clever even if you didn't agree with them all.

Is that just cos we heard less from them and their wasn't social media clipping bits from them and comparing it to what they said 5 years ago and such.

There wasn't the kind of roving, rolling news we have now either.
 
But aye, they do seem a bit shit.

I think that's partly because Boris has alienated a big part of his own party so had a small field to choose from in selecting his cabinet.

If Nadine Dorries gets a Cabinet post, then my hamster must be due a position, and he's that stupid he runs in a wheel and thinks he's progressing.

The more I think about that, Hammy seems ideal, as running ever faster and getting nowhere sums up this Government.
 
He actually stood in front of a camera and said this was a "convincing" win. Fcuk me. When nearly half of your own MPs vote against you and the other half are either Ministers, Junior Ministers or on a promise of something then you are finished.

Nadine Dorries has made it clear where the priorities are. "The major donors are all supportive of Boris".

Sod the voters, keep the donors happy.

Just when you think there aren't new depths to be plumbed, they go that bit lower.

All about the donors and the super rich avoiding tax but the people are too easily fooled so maybe as a nation we get what we deserve.
40% of the population consistently voting for these crooks and clowns means nothing will change any time soon.

Saw similar on channel 4 news, the reporter said his supporters tended to be over 60. The stock answer was 'there isn't anybody better'. I'd like to think that answer was down to their ignorance and not a true reflection of the situation!!

Starmer isn't the answer to the problem of British politics.
We need a whole new electoral system and an electorate that takes more of an interest.
But it won't change any time soon so if you don't like it just leave the country, but if you aren't at least a millionaire I'm not sure where you would go now.
