Just wanted to say, while I have some issues with Kyle Walker, he had an incredible tournament I thought. Maguire also coming back from injury was quality (and what a Pen!). Shaw was a revelation, at least to me who rarely sees premier league these days and Stirling proved once and for all that he grew in to his talent and is world class.

Despite the current disappointment I’d consider any one of these as the wow signing Blackpool need 😜

I'd also add that I think Pickford was fantastic the entire tournament. Slightly wobbly against Denmark and I'd question his positioning for their goal but everything else in his game has been superb.

Yep 100%. He far exceeded my expectations. Even Stones who I’ve always worried about let no-one down, so as well as our many attacking options, good to see we’ve got the players to keep teams out too.

Another year of development will see an excellent world cup squad. An average age of 25 for a final that huge is very young. I'm sure they'll have learned a lot in terms of 'game management' from the Italians, but I've been impressed throughout with England's confidence and calmness on the ball. This squad has a great future.

Stones too.

Our midfield was a bit inexperienced, and lacking creativity.

Rice was having the game of his life...and in a final, gliding past players when his touch and balance seemed effortless and all coming together in one game. A breakout moment .
Then the manager took him off.
Will never understand that.
He was knackered and carrying a knock, but agree he had a great first half.

Pickford was the break out player for me. I wasn't at all convinced by him, as I thought he was prone to a crazy moment, but he grew into it. I wish he'd catch more rather than punch, but he did what he had to do well, and two goals conceded throughout the tournament in which we reached the final says a lot.

Kyle Walker for me. Apart from one poorly timed tackle he was outstanding last night as well as the others mentioned.

In the semi completely agree but went badly missing in the second half of the final when England needed an outlet to relieve the pressure and he did not provide it.
we had so little possession second half and not one decent ball was played forward for him to get hold off. All second half all our forwards did was run from side to side around the half way line trying to slow down their play. For our forwards to function they need players behind them to have the ball and show some quality with it. It didn't happen. We just sat way too deep and resorted to hoofball clearances.

Pickford outstanding and for me Eng best player in the final and of the tournament.
My ratings for last night:
Pi 9, Wa 6, St 7, Ma 7, Sh 6, Tr 5, Ri 7, Ph 6, Mo 4, St 5, Ka 4.
Sa 5, Gr 6, He 4, Ra 0, Sa 0.

Shaw, Stones, Maguire & Walker are all top, top defenders and IMO don’t need the 2 defensive midfielders in front of them against 98% of international teams.

I think overall this whole squad looks to have a bright future , Rice was brilliant last night, but I feel that this squad will only get better !

Innocent Q. Why? Big city, big club, Prem. What's wrong with that?
I agree, it would be nice for players to stay loyal and stay at clubs (like Leeds), however we all know how the game works in reality.
His agent will be (for agents personal gain) desperately trying to sell him for a nice quadruple of salary to one of the big boys with promises to Phillips of silverware and glory.

As I said, I think his 'agent' is his family.

We reached the final of the euros, and yet I think this squad is still a few years away from reaching it's peak. I don't think there was a single player that I wasn't impressed by at some point in the tournament. If I had to pick a standout or two, it would be Shaw and Sterling over the whole competition and Rice in the final. He surprised me - he really was very good and the only player better on the night was Chiesa imo.
I'm excited for what the future has in store for England, and it's probably the first time i've genuinely felt that. I have a similar feeling for BFC - funny how it's kind of happened at the same time. In terms of the footy, 2021 has been a great year.
