Agreed, it didn't work out for the lad and a new loan somewhere else is best for all involved.
 
Not a surprise. Critchley seemed to give up on him after his second half sub cameo against Cheltenham where he just didn't get himself involved in seeing out the game. Just being a body to cover shit cup games isn't going to work for anyone.
 
He had a few moments with us of goal involvement, but never really got his place in the side.

I wouldn't write him off as it can take time to show what you have in a new side and our formation etc may not suit.

Good luck to the lad, hopefully get another loan in that works out to replace him.

Hopefully he goes to another team who plays him and they see the player he is.... or isn't. Time will tell

But loan to us has been a disaster sadly

Played in every EFL trophy game and was poor in all of them unlike Kouassi,Beesley and Morgan who stepped up into the first team after good performances in the competition.
 
I'm sure he must be a decent player going off how well he did last year, maybe just didn't fit the roles or tactics we play. He's only young too so might have needed a run to gain some confidence. Wish him all the best.

So played 3 games

Morecambe played 90 mins.. won and got an assist

Barrow - won and come off 60 mins

Liverpool - won played 90 mins

So from this I would say he did OK... just not given a proper chance.. but let's see how his career goes. But good luck to him as seems a decent pro

He also played against Barnsley and I've seen him live in three out of the four EFL games and he's been poor.
Winning a match doesn't mean they had a good game.

Agree it doesn't but then with pool currently u can play every game and be poor... as long as ure face fits. In and out every so often ure never gonna see a players potential imo

Fact is he never got a proper run to show his game... let's see how he gets on elsewhere.
 
That's what happens when you collect basically the same midfielder, often.

Put them all in a blender and you'd still get the same player coming out.
