Well done Boris

At last showing some leadership, albeit a few weeks too late.

And yet he has to put up with the back-stabbing from the extreme right wingers on his back bench.

The so called "libertarians" are pushing for everyone to do what they want- and sod the consequences on everyone else.

That line will suit some of the nutters on here, but thank goodness Johnson is swatting them down in favour of the general public good!

If the right wingers don't like this, they are in for a shock when he capitulates to the EU on fishing rights 🤣

Opportunism means little more than to exploit a situation for one's own personal gain. On 14 October, in the House, Bozo accused Keir Starmer of just that for daring to suggest that we should follow the scientific advice and call for an immediate "circuit breaker". Approx 2 weeks later, the lazy incompetent oaf finally succumbed.
He has spent most of his time of late trying to blame the Labour leader of failing to be sufficiently supportive of his actions, or more accurately, his inactions. This follows wave after wave of failure, of incompetence on a scale never before seen!

Boris has made the right decision again. The only issue is whether the timing is right. I understand why he wanted to keep minimally infected regions out of lockdown but, with hindsight, restrictions ten days earlier might have been preferable. The Red-Faced Shadow's policies are only based on hindsight so what he says is irrelevant.

Funny how employees in businesses forced to close in the North have now got proper financial support. Oh hang on. It’s not funny at all. The North had better not forget how they’ve been had over these last few months.

😂 you do talk some bollux at times.

Labour’s policy calling for a circuit breaker was based on the SAGE minutes of 21 September. Quite simply it was “follow the scientific advice”. Belatedly he’s caved in and agreed to do so.

Killed thousands of care home residents. Well done Boris.
Cancelled cancer treatment for thousands more. Well done Boris.
Spunked billions on failed schemes to micromanage a virus. Well done Boris.
Spunked trillions more sinking the economy. Well done Boris.
Government by diktat. Well done Boris.
Munchausen by proxy for one and all. Well done Boris.
Suicides up. Well done Boris.
Ollygon feels slightly safer for a few weeks. Well done Boris.

Boris couldnt be seen to follow Keirs lead...stubborn arrogant fool...now 2 week circuit break when kids would have been off is 4 week lockdown lite

Bungling Boris will be gone by Easter. Bookmark this.

Unfortunately he'll be replaced by another useless belled like Gove or Raab.

Buckle up .... it's going to be a right horror show for the foreseeable future.

Ollygon, why isn't test and trace working?
Lytham, no idea. It's a shambles.

I think you mistake my praise for Boris on this one occasion. The man's an idiot, but at least for once he's taken notice of scientific advice, albeit very late.

Imagine if the extreme right wing nutters had their way. We'd be in a much bigger mess then

Back in March Johnson told us the reason for the restrictions on our every day lives and the lockdowns were so that the NHS would not be overwhelmed, 8 months later what has he actually done to bolster the NHS.

He has tried to look after party donors, cronies, people that might be able to do him a favour in the future he has done next to nothing to strengthen the NHS.

Can a British Prime Minister be charged with incompetence, dereliction of duty and corruption?

If they can Johnson and his mob should be getting an enforced lockdown for a few years.

"Spunked billions on failed schemes to micromanage a virus. Well done Boris"
"Spunked trillions more sinking the economy. Well done Boris"

Not just spunked but LOOTED billions of taxpayers money and gave it to Tory friendly companies and Tory friends who lack the expertise to run track and trace and supply PPE... opportunity knocks!! One of the biggest lies is always referring to it as the "NHS track and trace" GGGWWWAAAAFFF! so when it goes tits up they can push the blame on the NHS and hide it from thick people.

Three critical weeks too late!

Best guess, people don't want to be traced, they're avoiding phone calls, ignoring e-mails, the system is likely working as well as it can, just not as well as we'd like it to.
Or your mate’s mate can’t actually produce the software to do the job? Despite the poop load of money he’s been given.

Oh well. Never mind. Nobody’s died.

Ooh. Hold on a minute.

How is calling for a lockdown 5 weeks ago acting in hindsight? Get a dictionary.

So much unsubstantiated bullshit here its difficult to know where to start.

But lets start with this:-
'Spunked trillions on a failing economy'

I mean seriously ???

You haven't figured it out yet have you? Starmer says the opposite of the PM. That's what he does. No policies. No original thoughts. I blame his mother for calling him Keir.

Does the opposite of the PM? Is that why he’s supporting his efforts to (belatedly) introduce a lockdown?

You really are a confused little Tory aren’t you.

Have we ever discovered whether we are in favour of lockdown or not ?

I ask this question as it would appear that so many in favour of a lockdown are appalled with Boris's decision to lockdown ?

For what it is worth I am not in favour of a lockdown myself.

The leader of the Opposition in shock opposition to the Government's position.
You still don't get it do you. He takes the opposite view because he is not capable of forming a policy of his own. Why do you think he supports Brexit on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays?

I’ve only been able to trade for 6 weekends since March 2020 and been closed since beginning of October due to restrictions in other areas etc and bookings being cancelled
Don’t know if we will get through now till March as all financial resources have been taken paying bills, rent etc. It’s a very sad world we’re all living in right now but one day we will get through all this.
Happy Tuesday everyone 💖💖

Have you read up what the Labour policies are?
We all know what Labour's policies are. Everyone in the UK should receive an immediate 10% pay rise. There will be unlimited funding for those in work and those not in work to help them through this difficult time, the pandemic will be ended within 24 hours and we will reach a favourable trade deal with the EU that will increase the UK's GDP by 23% per year.

See how easy it is when you are a pretend government?

I think you just made that up.

I watched Jeremy Hunt on newsnight last night looked very calm assured and articulate alot different to the guy who beat him to the tory leadership back when ,seemed to talk alot of sense without the party politics basis.

I see that as he is now so critical of Boris, and on their side, at last the BBC is managing to get his name right!

Did Newsnight ask Hunt why he refused to participate in the pandemic planning exercise when he was Health Secretary? It was his job, after all, to ensure that the country was prepared for such a pandemic. It was in his watch that the NHS wasn't. Easy for him now to jeer from the side-lines.

What is it about this enemy of Johnson and 'Remainer', to boot, that so attracts the BBC to him?
