Well done Critch

We’re very lucky to have him back here tbh. It’s almost like the stars aligned perfectly with him being out of a job and maybe having returned with a ‘grass isn’t greener’ mentality.

The bloke is an absolute genius and he’s ten steps ahead in his thinking / planning. Slowly and steadily building a very good side that will ultimately play good football.

I know you nailed you colours to the mast early doors, brave move, but I think you may be right.

I think we’re ahead of his first chapter of management at this time of the season. God forbid the FA Cup gives us another trip to Hartlepool. (CJ is not the same player now.)
Is he nursing Dembele into the first team? Strength in depth?
Next Saturday will be true form indicator.

Well done Critch for admitting you were wrong after stumbling on a winning formula with Kouassi but then ripping it up and dropping him, only to stop winning.
Correct the error and put him back in the team and we win again. 😜
Seriously though we look like we now have a decent shape with a confirmed and confident style of play, with the players knowing their role.
Yesterday’s starting team is currently close to, if not the best (10/11) we currently have with fit players.
Plus if fit
Another team of
ODonnell
Tharme Ekpeteta Connolly
Lyons Morgan Oxlaide-Booth, Weir, Gabriel
Joseph & Lavery

Plus Thompson and Beesley

The future is bright and Tangerine 🍊

I've always been a fan of Critch and I've always liked the way we are trying to play keeping possession and not forcing things and giving the ball away. Dale has made a big difference as LWB and has made the shape look more balanced. Still think we need to complete the cm, maybe in January or maybe a player can make that last question mark his own.
Hopefully the shouty 'Forward' or 'get it up' lot can chill out after his explanation pre match and get used to how we play.

I wish people would stop comparing what he's done this season with his first tenure.
If he's the genius everyone professes then he really should have taken more points against Orient, PV, Charlton and gained at least a point against Derby.

We're in a decent position but are still 8 points off Oxford, who have a game in hand over us and 9 off Pompy who have yet to be beaten in the league.

Admittedly it's still very early in the season, we could go on a fantastic run. On the flip side we could fall off the edge of a cliff.

As a Blackpool supporter, I'd love us to do well and hope we get promoted but in my opinion, with the players at his disposal we should be higher in this division.

He’s the perfect fit for us,no matter How many clowns think otherwise
You were not calling people clowns when we were battered by Derby or some of the other poor performances. So its a bit out of order and cowardice to come out and insult fans that have got valid points of view and call them clowns. Yes ,I am one of those clowns and I am still not convinced yet , but I will leave it to Critchley to prove me wrong and if he fails I won't be calling his followers clowns , just supporters .

We could very easily have taken more points this season tbh...

That said, to criticise or question his ability because he hasn't got instant results is total nonsense as the overused 'Alex Ferguson' adage demonstrates.

I think the issue we have here is that quite a few of you become completed wedded to the daft opinions that you'd formed, before a ball was kicked. You've subsequently all carried on digging a deeper hole, because results haven't gone entirely our way and your still trying to justify a lack of faith and patience..... Similar to the CJ knockers, some of whom still persist talking utter crap, despite CJ bending them over and dry bumming them week in week out.

Just get yourself on the 'Critch' bus.... Next Stop Championship Football 👍

I see the Critchley fans are out in force and rightly so after a good performance . This is similar to when there has been a bad performance and the slaggers come out in force. I am not a Critchley fan and I don't think he has proved himself till the end of the season . What I will say is that we do seem to be improving slowly under him and he may yet prove me wrong It's a pity that it has taken him so long to change tactics after weeks of supporters coming on here and pointing it out.

He hasn't changed tactics it's been 3-5-2 all season just a few personel changes which happens in all sides.

We get it you don't want him here same for many with Appleton which is sad just get behind our managers whoever is at the helm.

A solid performance yesterday especially 2nd half. Still not sure on the midfield mix of the LCM, DCM & RCM but that’s his model.

Got some decent options off the bench & this will get better when Joseph and Gabriel return.

We’ll get a good indication of where we are at in a months time after trips to Oxford and Bolton and Pboro at home.

Let’s hope we get a few wins as it won’t take much to be right up there.

Best squad depth for years

To me he Is probably the best coach we have had in my almost 50 years of watching, maybe Holloway was better. He improves players so much and tactically is way ahead of most. Yesterday we didn't get dragged down to the level of Stevenage, kept our shape and kept the ball.
It was certainly a long way from that game against Gillingham very early in his first stint with us, where fatty Evans and another of his horrible teams bullied him on and off the pitch.

I know you nailed you colours to the mast early doors, brave move, but I think you may be right.
Nice comment Mac. I know you were broadly against his reappointment.

I nailed my colours too in favour. I’m not blinded - he frustrates me at times but then I accept I don’t know the reasons for his decisions (like why not play KK for two games?) and what’s happening from training and fitness leaves/ personal issues.

What I saw and see in him is a coach that does detail. He plans middle term so we might not get immediate results but over the season it comes together if he’s given time. He also seems to get players on his side (interviews in the past with Madine and Maxi spoke of it).

I don’t think he is a firefighter like Colin or Fat Sam, he’s a planner. That’s why Sadler liked him but that’s frustrating if your a fan that needs success in the first month or the pitchforks are out?

Exactly, it's about long term planning, it's a long term project. Hopefully Critch has been burned by his leaving and the next time he gets an offer he won't consider it, although he is probably considerably richer as a result of the last 18 months.
I hope that Critch is still here in 5 years because that will mean the process is working.
Yesterday was a great performance, that Stevenage team were flying high. We were completely dominant. Saturday is a big test.

We did get battered ,we've had bad games under him and 1 match does not prove anything . All I said was we should wait till the end of the season before judging him . Also just by putting Lavery on instead of Koussi was a tactical change or is Lavery going to use his height and physical prowess .

I love the fact that we should now "Wait until the end of the season before judging" being as you lot were actually judging him fit to be sacked after 4 or 5 games 😂

You really couldn't make this bullshit up!

You mustn't have been at the hame we didn't get battered they sat back with a line of five pumping the ball over the top or trying to hit us on the break.
The scoreline a 2 goal defeat might look like we got stuffed but we where the better team for long parts and struggled to break them down.
That's not getting battered and the stats back it up.Screenshot_20231015-101054-627.png

If we win, someone will say that Oxford were poor. Guaranteed.

I see from the stats that we had all that possession ,with our goalie and our 3 defenders . Yet they had more shots on target with their 36% possession . So with only a third of the time they had the ball ,they managed a quarter more shots on target. WE WERE BATTERED .

Where we fuck. 👍
Lincoln away was a battering.

The stats suggest that if Derby had had the ball the same amount of possession as Blackpool they would have put 6 past us and had 10 shots on target . Just because we had more possession in our defenders and goalie does not suggest we were not outclassed by a better team or had better tactics.

“If we win.” What a bloody good start to the story.
Actually, if we repeat yesterday’s performance, I could see Mr. Branston, carp and all throwing a wobbler, crying we cheated and that big boy KK is a bully.

Bang on about his planning, which is why he is so damn good.

Results won’t be immediate, but over a season, he drastically improves the team, every season he’s been manager we’ve ended a better team than when we started.

He was the right appointment and is proving it now.

There will certainly be bumps, but over the whole of a season he will guarantee improvement.

I'm still behind Critchley but if he was such a genius, mary, he'd have done a damn sight better at QPR.

When they need cast offs like Thorniley, they cannot be much cop. I think we might not have the strongest team in the league but pretty sure we have the strongest squad.
Over the course of the season that will bear fruit
P. S the comment on Thorniley was tongue in cheek but believe Casey is a better option anyway.

He’s not a firefighter, tub thumper like Allardyce, Warnock or allegedly Mad Mick.

Not the man to come in half way through as he needs plenty of time to develop the play. They didn’t give him enough time and should have known that his first 10 games deliver average results.

thorniley hasn't made the team for a good few games now.
