Well that's kouassi on the bench Saturday

One thing I would say is I think it's so easy to mark Lavery out of the game, the bruts at Stevenage would have his legs within seconds - whereas I bet Evans was watching Kouassi on Saturday with some concern which could lift the pressure off Rhodes.

I might not always agree with team selections and I understand the need to manage expectations around young players but Critch has a free hit with this one.
The lad has earned the right to start on Saturday and that is probably what we all want to see happen regardless of the outcome.

It’s weird all the slating of Lavery. Remember how we all raved about him when he first signed. Has an injury or constant dodgy hamstring hamstring any progression?

....and after the first match this season too. Perhaps through the fault of nobody, expectation for Lavery was set too high. And it's possible the same is happening/will happen with Kouassi.

Agree with that 20’s and the probable reason for that is his “international” status.
I’m not convinced that he is the real deal but that is just my opinion.

Any manager with Dembele and Kouassi at their availability would not be playing Shane Lavery.
dont forget we did have a manager last season who thought it was a good idea to play jerry yates pretty much as a right back, and a 19 year old charlie patino as a defensive mid in conjunction with sonny carey as his defensive mid partner.

Lavery is a decent player, played in the right way with the right service he will score goals.

He's like a battering ram and he can finish. It will be interesting how he shapes up if he gets a decent run in the first team.
No, no. Get on message....the team changes to combat the opposition on the day. Personally, I'd rather the opposition showed concern about us.

'... hamstring hamstring ...' - "... so bad they named it twice!" To paraphrase from a certain well-known Broadway hit.

Hmm, as an ex sign writer I can see mistakes in signs and lettering a mile away. On the old ship and royal pub sign, the spacing between the words ‘ship AND AND AND AND AND royal were inconsistent.
I just made that bollox up to trump the double word thing you noticed.
😂
