Wellens in the stands?

He hasn’t go at any, that’s why United got shut.
He lives just 5 doors away from a mate of mine in Worsley and he tells me Wellen’s wife is very chatty but he is ignorant.
Too far up his own arse IMO.
 
That touch of arrogance helped make him a decent footballer. A bit of indiscipline and lack of pace prevented him from playing at top level.
 
Spoke to him a fair few times back in Schofield's and waterfront back in the day, was always very approachable and used to give us loads of dirt on the oystons.

I like Wellens - shows passion - I know we're all Team Critchley after the weekend but it's like watching a Lion back his team versus a mouse!

I'd go his go for his goal from half way line. Although I was stood on the bridge watching it at the time so I had enough money to buy a CD at HMV.

Yep, that's how much he thought of himself. In fairness later on I had a chat with him away from the crowd and he spoke about wanting to become a manager and how much he would love to do it at Blackpool. This was at AFC Blackpool about 6 years ago.
