We're coming to Blackpool on Friday....

Garages round us are all diesel only with a £30 limit
That doesn't sound good! We have 3/4 of a tank at the moment but need to fill up again at Warwick (North) on the way up and then again in Blackpool on the way back. Surprised they are diesel only, as every garage around here is petrol only as they have all run out of diesel.

You're right, diesel the problem here too, typically both my wife and my cars are diesel. 😫

Another ploy by the Government to shift us out of fossil fuel powered cars and into electric. How many people after this will consider electric as their next car? I know I have……
Yes electric trams have been around since 1885.👍😀

I was in knobbersville yesterday on the Penwortham bypass and stopped at Booths, the garage there was open and no restrictions on petrol or diesel, no queue whatsoever, drove straight to a pump and filled up! Worth bearing in mind if over that way today.

I was stuck in London for 5 hours on Monday before I found a garage with petrol. On the way back up, the service stations looked patchy - some had fuel but large queues and some were empty so I would pick one on the way up to make sure you are fixed for the journey back home rather than wait too long and risk being stranded.
Yes, that's what we're going to try to do.

LFY8, That's what they keep telling us. Went out yesterday to get my booster Covid jab. Went past the filling station
on Poulton Rd. It was closed, no fuel. 😟
Went past the one that SS12 filled up in yesterday this afternoon and there's a big sign up - NO FUEL 🙁

Fair play…. I get bored after a few years.
I just never saw the point, cars haven't got any better in that time, I think late 90s/early 00s was the peak, since then the build quality has gone backwards and the built in redundancy has multiplied ten fold.

Electric/Hydrogen is the future, there's nothing more to progress with fossil fuels.

I totally agree with the build quality, it’s seems to have gone back to the 80’s. In saying that, my Dad had a Volvo 240 in the 80’s and he had that nearly 20 years! My mum knocked down 15 yards of dry stone wall in it and it just put a slight tear in the huge rubber bumper….. great car that - dog shit brown in colour, but great all the same.

Yeah my Dad had a 240, bloody great cars, the doors are about a foot thick!

I think Lytham and St Annes were the home of Volvo, everyone had one at some point.
