West Brom v Blackpool Official Matchday Thread 14.04.22

It’s against the run of play. But my fault as I said Carrol is a useless lump before the game kicked off

Same problem we've had all season , not taking the chances we create or making most of possession when we are on top . We need more clinical forwards & better service to them . Our final ball is more often than not poor despite good build up

We've been dire since Jordan went off. Virtue no in it at all and we're jittery on the ball. Need to get the initiative back fast.

Thorniley was too busy hanging onto the guy in front of him, that he failed to see the ball going over his head and into Carrol behind him! 🤬

Edit to add: Maxwell could have punched that ball too if he'd left his Goal line. Hindsight's a Wonderfull thing.

1 shot on target and that must be that tame free kick.

Quite telling after all those promising moves not one was able to have either a final pass or create a shot on target.

When your keeper is afraid or incapable of commanding HIS 6 yard box............
I don’t really rate Maxwell that highly, Grimshaw is better but he doesn't command the box from crosses either.

Personally I think a new keeper may be needed in summer.

Can't we just have one of those keepers who comes and claims all crosses like those we play against seem to?

Don’t blame Thorniley, again, what was Connolly doing. Marking himself?

57 years since we won at West Brom, bright start today last 15 minutes seem to be sleepwalking.
Like to see Beesley for Madine 2nd half.

Baggies commentator saying its not the first time Blackpool have wasted a chance in the final third 🤦‍♂️

C'mon you tangerines
