Wettest Game you’ve ever watched?

I remember that game differently. It only started raining about 30 minutes before kick off - but it certainly hammered it down. Ref deemed the pitch unplayable minutes before scheduled kick off time - there was standing water all over the pitch. Then within minutes the sun was out again.
Norwich came out to warm up / warm down (Worthington got a few verbals) & the pitch looked playable as the water had gone.
It was a late August Tuesday night fixture & most had come in t shirts n shorts as it was warm. Most got wet coming to & into the ground. Was a quick dash from the tyldesley club (pre match boozer at the time).
You are probably right Spud - too many years too games have turned my memory to a Tangerine mush 😂

A few spring to mind:

Arsenal (h) League Cup 1976/77 (I think), torrential
Bristol Rovers (a) at Twerton Park, already mentioned, there were waves on the pitch when the wind blew, biblical
I will also add Sheff Wed (a), end of season, same night as Blackpool Borough RLFC won promotion. Consequently, very few on the Supporter's Coach. A mate and I stood on the 'then open' home kop to witness a 2-0 defeat and it pi$$ed down throughout!!
Brentford: Yes, though I was fortunate to be in the seats.....

Worth mentioning the Oxford home game in 1995.
The media was at swelling point as the news of Oyston was being questioned by Poiice.
For the last 15 minutes it was monsoon conditions and had it started a few minutes earlier, the game would have been abondoned. We were 2-0 up and Aldridge scored.
The pitch was flooded when the final whistle blew.

York Cuty when we lost by 3 or 4.

I was only young but I never forget my old man saying that you always had to stay until the end!

Preston away when Wes scored the pen, I remember that being a very wet day.
Don't think it was the wet,est , but I was soaked from their leaky ** roof (and stood in rain while coppers took the piss).👌era.(the one remember most was a night match I traveled up from Wolverhampton it never stopped raining all night against arsenal ),I think first game Alan ball played against us after his transfer lost 1-0 George wood played in goal and they scored straight from a corner if I remember correct went through George's legs ,Armstrong I think scored it☹️..?

I remember being at bolton when we lost 3-0 in a cup game it never stopped raining we missed a pen russall coughlin i think and to add to the misery the police kept us in for twenty mins after the game.

Wigan away in December 2015 was bad. Only went for the pub crawl really It was just before Christmas and it was freezing heavy rain.
When we were informed in the pub that the game was going ahead we were shaking our heads “ Do we really have to go”. It was horrendous out there.
There must have only been 200 daft Pool fans there.
Unbelievably we won 1-0 as Wigan were top and we were relegation bound. Fortunately the rain had abated by full time.

There was a Brentford open end game many seasons ago that was torrential and Oxford away a few seasons back that pished it down with a very high wind..not to mention the loss..miserable. beyond that it all becomes a misty blur.
