What’s going on?!?

I heard the same thing too. My mate's mate works in HK and apparently his company is facing huge fines for dodgy trading. And a divorce is on the cards...might be bullshit but it isn't implausible either
its not 'dodgy' trading, it is Block trading industry issues affecting many companies as well as SS, I am sure he will diversify and continue to grow.

Somebody has to be relegated, we have no divine right to stay up, our budget is understandably one of the lowest in the league, SS is relatively 5 minutes into the job and has already delved deep into his own pockets, the infrastructure of the club is infinitely better, we might not of shelled out millions in transfer fees, but shed loads in wages for the squad and walking wounded. If we go down and it is still a big IF with 15 games to go, then I am confident we will come back stronger, we are not down far from it, we are the mighty Blackpool FC we will find a way.

Including a few bob here following the sale of Twitter to Musk. I do love how people always jump straight to ending of something ‘a block down the boozer says it’s a nailed on, life changing fine’ and a mate lives in Hong Kong; ergo steeped in the machinations of every business based there.

Simon makes a couple of quid

All of what u say is true Hazi and we all want the club to stay up as there is certainly no guarantee of getting back up anytime soon. However there has clearly been an imbalance between money specifically brought into the club via Bowlers transfer and the Critchley compo and money out on transfer fees. I’m not going to speculate why this has happened and why we are only in the market for freebies and loans. Some people will say that we bid for the kid from Wednesday and Hearts and Barlaser at Rotherham but in truth most of the time we are making lowball almost insulting offers. I genuinely doubt the training ground and easy stand will be built if we are relegated but I would love to be wrong. In the short term the investment in the team should have at least matched the incomings. All owners know there are residual costs running a championship team and that will have been factored in elsewhere.

Looks like we'll save a few quid by not paying McCarthy a bonus, unfortunately we lose millions by getting relegated!!
None of the funds from anything else seem to be reinvested into the playing squad so what difference does it make???
