There’s no drug in the world that can reach those dizzy heights that gave me when it got to 3-3. What a time to be alive.

I have a lot of time for the way our Head Coach makes changes in the game to change and effect the end result. That Burnley team on paper is miles ahead of us, they’ve invested millions and have a few Premier League standard players, which showed in that 1st half. You have to be realistic on this.

Us on the other hand, missing our best two midfielders, patchwork starting 11, but at half time the problems were identified and we peppered that goal 2nd half. Hats off to Michael Appleton. I didn’t want him initially but the guy is growing on me like moss on my garage wall. Straight talker and tactically clued up whilst dealing with a bag of spanners from our recruitment team. We are a work in progress but when you can see the work it makes it worth while.

We’ve got just under 2 weeks now to bring in some players and help this team kick on.

Oh an shout out to Sonny Carey. Lovely snap which we’ve been crying out to do for years, but a joke of a red. Get that appeal in immediately.

Thought we were on for hiding at half time as Burnley completely outplayed us, but I’ve got to hand it to Appy l don’t what he said at HT but it worked miracles and l was surprised no changes were made at HT. Even a Dingle mate messaged me after the game to say how well we played 2nd half and were unlucky not to nick when Jerry turned sharply and the shot was blocked at close range. Appy is obviously a very good coach with a few tweaks here and there but not compromising his formation!👏👏👏

I went from 7-1 defeat at half time and oh well how big do those three points in midweek feel now to hang on we could win 5-3 here in about half an hour.

There's nothing else like football as a sport when you have the momentum.

Not sure I can do a full year of that though. I get there's mitigating circumstances but a bit more prep on the opponent and how they're likely to be in games wouldn't go amiss as we go along, I think.

We would have won that game if Carey had stayed on…….oh well, it’s only little Blackpool 🙄

My 14 year old said to me at 3.3 ** hell dad think I'm having a heart attack

He was shaking like a shitting dog 🐕

Isn't it wonderful football?
Had to make do with viewing on a screen today but was like the vicar of dibley guy shouting NO NO NO NO NO in the 8 mins injury time when the momentum shifted back again after the red cards. Dan Grimshaw's save in the 95th minute has gone under the radar a bit I think.

Yeah it was up the other end so couldn't really tell

I didn't even know he’d made a save from my view but it doesn’t surprise me, he’s a top keeper.

Yeah just what we've started to expect from him now after those 1-0 wins last season where he had to pull us out of the shit at the end. One second looking like this is just something he does and whatever, and the next sharp as a tack off his line. He's a good 'un.

Love to think Bullshit Ben found him scouring Belgian first division tapes.

I was on the golf course this afternoon. Checked and saw 0.2. Checked later and 3.3, fair floated down the 18th.
Well done Pool.

Made a few tactical changes that have worked now and completely changed games hasn't he ?
Pretty much what we saw from his Lincoln teams in the two league games in the lockdown season when you were allowed five subs. And then at half time at Sunderland in the play off second leg when they went from quivering wreck to remembering they were still in it. Feared them in a bit in the final tbh but on the day it looked like as a club they just couldn't visualise getting promoted whereas we could. And now he's got the gig that the last guy beat him to.

Do you want me to get someone round to sort out the moss on your garage lad😯😉

Sadly I had to work all day. Thanks for this. Great report.

All I saw were the highlights earlier. When the Dingles went 2 up they were giving it full beans to our support. Never seen limbs like it when it went to 3-3. Oh how those next to the Dingle home supporters must have loved that.

Never a red card. Professional foul in their own half. Yellow, all day.

good o/p. Their quality on the ball in that first half was outstanding but even so we missed a couple of good chances to have even gone in level at half time even if it would have been undeserved. Second half from us was outstanding, we were a constant threat and created so many chances. Thoroughly desrved to get back level and could even been ahead by the time the sending off came around. Carey was a yellow and their guy a red. But for some reason that changed the game back in their favour and we spent the last twelve minutes defending for our lives.

Our support again tremendous and I suppose you should acknowledge how good theirs was too. Great day out apart from the ridiculous time it takes to get away from their ground. God knows why they send you thru that shithole Briarfield! Nearly 7:30 by the time t got home.

I expected a hiding from the start and moreso after 20 minutes. That ended up feeling like a win to me 🥳

Nearly went for my daughters wine in the fridge after our 3rd goal, then remembered I don’t drink.

Does nothing for my nerves all that adrenaline 🥹
What not at all?.

Yeah a good atmosphere as expected, however its quite easy to be boisterous when they are winning a derby match easily. Considering we were losing most the game I thought we were good.

Can only imagine of we were winning....

No not really. Maybe twice a year as have an Irish coffee around Christmas time usually and had one in Dublin this year 👍
Maxnix (together with 17 of his mates) went to Dublin last weekend for his stag do (I was dreading it! 😂) His best man (also a very keen Blackpool fan) decided that the VERY worst thing they could do to him was to make him walk around for 2 days wearing a PNE shirt. They also attached a dog collar and lead so he couldn’t wander off. Had a brilliant time but it took him about 4 days to recover, they drank so much.. 🤮

Am still buzzing about that comeback and the way we played 2nd half.

Just watched the Seasiders pod and its right what was said.

We didn't just get a result we went toe to toe with them at positive football and we actually battered them. Jerry says we had them rattled and we did big time.

A Burnley fan (who someone put their comments on here) said we looked incredibly fit, strong and mobile and we did.

Just a great day and I'd rather have won but you have to go behind to feel the comeback joy.

If only we could have nicked it, Jerry's chance deserved a goal.

The strikers will be more confident after their goals now and so to Corbeanu, who's growing in stature each game now.

Fantastic.

I'd disagree they completely outplayed us. They had 4 shots in 90 minutes and 3 went in. By contrast we had glorious chances to be level at half time, let alone what we did second half. We scored 2 and maybe should have scored at least 2 more.

Thats not tangerine tinted specs, just a reflection of where we are, and snatching at chances. Hopefully Lavery's goal releases the finishing we saw last season.

Not sure where your figures come from Wiz, stats say they had 13 shots to our 12. And 71% possession.

I thought (watching the full replay) they outplayed us for 10 to 15 minutes and then we stabilised. And we got chances. The commentators were expecting a very difficult second half for Burnley - based on the way the first half developed.
