What Secondary School did you go to?

Fess, we were living in France at the time, otherwise I would also have gone. Managed to get to Normans funeral.
In the vicars talk he mentioned that Norman and friends would climb into the Co-op and go on the roof when it was closed.
He asked if anyone there had been with him. I put up my hand and he said 'See me later'. Joking of course.
Fess taught me 70-75 and I remember him as nice chap who you wouldn't risk taking liberties with. I liked him, he never bothered setting homework and he got me to an A pass at O Level 😁

I was at Claremont 1968 last intake before we moved to Warbreck.
Pilkington one day said to one pupil whats your name boy?
He replied Carl Marks Sir.
Come here boy Pilkington demanded.
Had to eat humble pie did Pilkington.
Funny thing was poor Carl probably had never heard of Karl Marx.
😀

I think Jimmy Sommervile had a similar problem at school when he said he wanted to be in the Communards (smiley)

Tyldesley High School 1975 - 1980.
Lower school Years 1 2 and 3 were at Condor Grove.
Upper School Years 4 and 5 were at Beech Avenue.

Both schools were demolished in the early 80 's
