Morons for wanting to the club to maximise incomeThe more he doesn't play up to the morons, the more I like him.
Yeah OK

There's deffo a section of fans who want to keep BFC as some sort of exclusive private members club.Morons for wanting to the club to maximise income
Yeah OK
Probably the same couple of thousand who went to matches during the boycott yearsThere's deffo a section of fans who want to keep BFC as some sort of exclusive private members club.
The interesting points at the SDM on the Manager position. Was it fuck
The structured dialogue meeting was a load of nonsense and you know it
It was also ** ages ago so has fcuk all to do with what I'm on about to try and increase ticket sales and maximise income for the club
Wow I'm actually speechless reading that post of yours
Give up Robbie
So much has changed since that meetingThe interesting points at the SDM on the Manager position.
On the Appleton appointment:
"There were other people on our list who we couldnāt see for various reasons."
I wonder if they are on the new list?
On the next appointment which was a comment made of course while Badman was still in post:
"Chris Badlan, our Sporting Director, is going through a list of targets. We intend to get back to where
we were with Critchley."
Time will tell.
It is bafflingTbf to the OP it is imperative we maximise ST sales. Thereās a reason ALL clubs do early bird offers and why STās are cheaper than buying on the day and thatās because it gives the club a guaranteed operational budget to work with and income at a time when there otherwise isnāt any.
Now obviously SS has a bit of money so perhaps he doesnāt feel like the 6/7 figures STās generate are going to have a defining impact on his budget for the season aheadā¦ however given that STās make up 80-90% of home attendees over the last few seasons and weāre not exactly in a position to guarantee success going forward then the lack of a clear marketing plan is somewhat baffling
To me thereās a degree of complacency when it comes to the fans. Theyāre taking the support of the majority for granted and sadly you actually can rely on that to some extent. Me and my old man being the prime example. It was never in doubt whether weād be going this season, regardless of division, price or manager. I really hope itās not an approach that continues. It is baffling
It's like he's just giving up on the club
The really frustrating thing it's so easy to do. Requires next to no effort. Just seems to me there is no will there. To me thereās a degree of complacency when it comes to the fans. You got that one wrong, as did I.Tomorrow will be the day as Friday is always a good news day ļø
Unquestionably Simon is a strange character and I wonder if he generally has a difficulty in communicating with people somewhat along the lines of what @hertfordseasider was saying on another thread. The really frustrating thing it's so easy to do. I think he's still sulking about paying 8 million quid for the club in the first place when there were no other cash bids on the tableUnquestionably Simon is a strange character and I wonder if he generally has a difficulty in communicating with people somewhat along the lines of what @hertfordseasider was saying on another thread.
It's hard to believe though bearing in mind his success in the financial world.
I do think he's still sulking a bit over this season going pear-shaped but I live in hope that we'll get at least something when all the pieces of 2023 edition of the BFC jigsaw are in place.
Maybe on Monday 22 May which is quite often a significant date (and it's my birthday) for BFC.

Yep, plus itās poss prior to buying the club hes gotten used to being top dogā¦surrounded by yes men stroking his egoā¦.so all this constant online opinions on every move the club makes is going against his norm I guessā¦?Unquestionably Simon is a strange character and I wonder if he generally has a difficulty in communicating with people somewhat along the lines of what @hertfordseasider was saying on another thread.

Morons for wanting to the club to maximise income
Yeah OK
Do you reckon he is? If I was that way I wouldn't be putting money into the ES & TG. The fact he has made the cash input into the club since his custodianship also suggests otherwise.I think he's still sulking about paying 8 million quid for the club in the first place when there were no other cash bids on the table
I agree with pretty much all of that until your last sentence.I think the main schism in attitude on all these matters is whether you see lower league football club ownership as an altruistic and ultimately benevolent act. Some crazies still persist with the idea that there might be some kind of profit in it. Unless you act like the Oystons of course, the exact opposite is the case. It's a money pit, and one that the very fans you are helping will happily watch as you chuck your last fiver in, shrug their shoulders and walk off blaming you for everything.
It's also an arena of bewilderingly wide opinion, from who should play in goal to how much to charge for tickets and pies. Mistakes, some actual and others that some perceive as such .... will always be made. Some slack needs to be cut .... demanding statements and constant public activity is both unreasonable, stupid, unproductive and a definite product of the internet age.
Unless everyone on here can unite and get behind the club rather than constantly finding ways to antagonise and divide ... we will never achieve great things together. Again.
What Sadler Out campaign?I agree with pretty much all of that until your last sentence.
If Sadler gets the appointments right, and results follow on the pitch, the lack of communication now will be a complete irrelevance. And the support will follow.
Letās face it. The launch of the recent āSadler Outā campaign crashed and burned on first contact with reality.
And the preferred owner for a small but vocal section of the fanbase is looking at serving a lengthy stretch at the Pleasure of His Majesty. And they also said they never advocated NAPM.
Seems to me Sadler has all the cards and can play them as and when he likes. Despite lots of hot air on AVFTT.
You suffering from amnesia again? What Sadler Out campaign?
You making things up again?
Someone has their knickers in a twist again, you on the whisky again? You suffering from amnesia again?
Sorry I remember now. Iāve been told not to pick on you so Iāll do as Iām told.
He can do what he wants for sure but heāll take some flack if things donāt go well.I agree with pretty much all of that until your last sentence.

Well heāll take some flack on here thatās for sure. But recent signs are heās not too bothered about that or heād have tickled a few tummies and rushed out a āSorry but everything is fineā statement as demanded. He can do what he wants for sure but heāll take some flack if things donāt go well.
Heās appointed 4 managers, 3 were useless and the one good one ucked off as soon as something better cropped up. Football isnāt a normal business, itās mad.
