I was thinking of the Desmond development rushed through to save him £50 million in exchange for a donation to party coffers.

No doubt Lost will be along shortly and blame the civil servants.

Newark 270th of the list of deprived area gets £25 million while places in the North got nothing.

Corrupt to the core.

So I have to say I’m beginning to think Honest Bob Jenrick may have got this one wrong after all.

He’s missed a trick. How much use could these kids be on his mates building sites. Much cheaper than the Poles
 
The fact is most of these so called “Children” have reached puberty and attend schools with vulnerable teenagers.

Anyway, from what I can see the majority are fighting aged men. Hardly ever see any women. Looks like they have abandoned them back home.
 
There’s loads of women and young kids at the Metropole.
And i get a lump in my throat every time I have an interaction with any of the kids - the adults are generally a bit reserved/shy, but the kids have that bravery of youth, and want to say hello or wave.

Hang on while I get my violin out. Seems everyone is a sympathiser but once they realise their houses devalued and sex crimes increasing it will be too late.

We have military veterans of our own sleeping rough on the streets with alcohol and drug problems. How can this be right?

There is help in this great nation of ours for everyone. Especially ex service men and women.

A lot of these kids have seen warfare too. Up close.

And they don't take drugs or drink or carry out sex crimes.

Up your game. You are making a total prick of yourself.

It’s not right, by any criteria, but it won’t stop me feeling empathy towards the kids.
And I was only pointing out that contrary to the fact you’ve hardly seen anyone other than ‘fighting age’ men, there are loads of women and little kids here too.

Let’s get something straight to start with.
Most of the immigrants arriving on boats:-

-Are not fleeing from a dangerous country unless they’d prophesied the recents riots in France
-Are young men, not children
-Are economic migrants
-Have paid people smugglers

But having said that, there undoubtedly will be some children amongst the migrants.
These kids are totally innocent.
They will definitely have suffered some trauma from being dragged around the world and living in awful circumstances.
Some will have seen horrible things if they’ve been in a war zone.

The government has recently tried to introduce measures to reduce the ‘pull’ factor.
Some of these economic chancers have been sending videos back showing that they’re housed in modern accommodation. This incentivises others to follow in their footsteps. So the Government are trying to make it less appealing eg the Rwanda idea and the drive to secure accommodation barges.

But a few Mickey Mouse drawings? Painting over these is mean-spirited and nasty. I can’t at all understand why this was deemed necessary. I want better controls on illegal immigration but this is just beyond the pale.

Whoever is responsible should resign in shame. Or be sacked.

Only prick is you you bleeding heart liberal. Refugees are supposed to stay in the first safe country they arrive in. Not pay for an illegal life-threatening, crossing to obtain a better life and sponge off our social system!

I understand that no one wants to see the kids suffer but they should not be here all these fighting age men instead of staying in a safe country, they come here for a better life at our expense.
 
I was surprised that they hadn’t painted large collages of life in Rwanda tbh.

Whichever way you look at it - children are victims in these situations. People need to Just let that sink in before they have outbursts.
 
You only haven't look at Jenrick's smug plummy face to see what kind of person he is. I don't engage in this dogwhistle stuff much as it's a toxic world but if he came canvassing to my door I'd cheerfully kick him all over the road. Scum.

A bit misleading, that mate. It’s not a ‘free’ loan, it’s an interest free loan.
And they can borrow up to £500 per adult, not worth risking your kids life for in a shit dinghy, and less than they pay the traffickers for the privilege. So not even financially beneficial.
