I thought we'd be top-half but now fear that was optimistic.

My play off prediction was the bare minimum as we should have stayed up last season. Failure to achieve even that is gross incompetence - if Critchley had anything about him he'd resign.

I predicted the play offs in the presumption that even Critchley could achieve that bare minimum with the squad he had with more to come. To make up for that gross error I wrote the plays offs off in December.

Apposite thread TPAGU. I don't think I was over-egging it suggesting the play-offs. As you say, however, hindsight....

I can see why so many were confident, 1966, but this division has a habit of making us look average no matter what our personnel and support looks like, in terms of quality.

The same lot who accepted Grayson, Appleton and Critch's returns.

Rather than stop them with threatened season ticket boycotts.

The Os lasted years after their asset strip.

Capitulation brought the drop last term.

More resignation now kills playoff hopes.

I’m going to be bang on if we carry on as we are.
