Would surprise me:
Going up automatically
Going down
Decent player signings from the leagues above
Any home gates over 12000
Topping the scoring charts

Wouldn't surprise me
Reached play offs
Mid table for most of season
Much tighter defensively
Lots of low scoring games
It also wouldn't surprise if we were languishing in no man's land by spring 2024..no chance of promotion and no chance of relegation...and here is the controversial bit...Critchley gets potted b4 the season ends.
So many unknowns this season..but decent signings and a good start could set the tone and remove the pessimism..from my thinking anyway.

In short, nothing would surprise me…

I think relegation is very unlikely…

I think promotion is a possibility…

I expect a consolidation season and think a top ten finish would be a reasonable outcome.

I’ll be expecting to be serious contenders for promotion the season an after (and beyond) If we can hang on to Critchley.

Would Surprise me:
The commercial team selling advertising space around the ground.
Jerry staying
Automatic promotion
Critch fist pumps the North with a badge kiss,1st game.

Wouldn't Surprise me:
We make a late surge to the play offs and win in true Pool style.
Attendances plummet in true Pool style!
Injuries to key players from the first whistle.
Critch leaves to become Gerrard's assistant at the Massive.

Wouldn't surprise me - Up as Champions by April.

Would surprise me - Everyone being happy about it.
I'll be honest Lytham, if the owner is serious about us getting back to the Championship, we should be champions by Christmas, otherwise it's a complete lack of ambition shown, and will fully justify me supporting the team from home and on the BBC sports page all season.

Wouldn’t surprise me: getting desperate in the transfer market and reverting to kids with dummies on loan.

Would surprise - Average attendance above 6k.

Is there a team that's ever been relegated that thinks "a top ten finish" the next season is a "reasonable outcome"? I would hope Sadler, Critch the players and the majority of the fanbase have a bit more ambition than you have contrary mary. People talk about negativity yet somehow fail to realise how negative they are themselves!

Agree. Finishing 10th would represent a very poor season. To be fair he said top 10 so that covers it all. Anything less than a top 6 finish would be failure in my eyes. If clubs like Rotherham can do it, why can’t we.

nope, he's saying that if we came tenth it would be a reasonable outcome. It wouldn't..

Would surprise me - promotion and good Cup run. Any 10k crowds.

Wouldn't : bottom half finish, Sadler selling up.

I'm a cautious, half-empty kinda guy. But...there's something in my water - and it's not just the crap lager I occasionally resort to. I think we're going to have a great season, be up there, challenging with a chance of automatic and deffo in the play-offs.

What would suprise me is if the members of this forum all came together and were positive about the club, team and it’s management throughout the season 😂

What would not surprise me is if a significant number of the members of this forum just look for all the negatives to moan about throughout the season 😂

And that doesn't make you any less a fan than someone who goes to every game home and away...

Would surprise me:

Keeping Jerry for the season
Selling Lyons
Selling over 7k season tickets
Finishing below 2nd

Wouldn't surprise me:

Finishing below 2nd
Quitch potted by Christmas
TD53 tearing down his pictures of Gaz Goals from his bedroom wall and replacing them with Sonny Carey pictures
Sadler announces TG will stay at Squires gate and be developed properly there.

Strangely I'd be surprised if we get off to a good start.
I won't be surprised if we improve as the season goes on.
