Whatever happens, credit to Dobbie

For me it’s always been about mindset and way of playing given our squad hasn’t been properly curated and isnt balanced and had been underperforming. Dobbie has proven this.

Do we really think we will go all out and be the big spenders in league one next year? I don’t. So we need to go again with a positive manger who can cajole, motivate and set up a competent team with an attack minded way of playing without being/going gung ho. Dobbie has proven he can do that in all his games so far irrespective of the results with the same underpowered squad to choose from as the pilllocks that proceeded him.

Dobbie in and forget about experience and better options elsewhere. We need sensible team selections a bit of stability and competence and enthusiasm.

So who is your alternative ? He's got more out of this injury ridden squad than anyone else could dream of. I'd be right behind his appointment as first team coach.
Stephen Dobbie's tangerine army, get me that season ticket.
I agree in what you’re saying , but worried he still lacks that experience. if he was given the job I certainly would back him
nathan jones , Roony , gerrard , maybe now evett , maybe Dobbie with a very good number 2 with him might work

Gerrard ? - will want to spend big money

Rooney ? - will want to spend big money and

Evatt? Won’t leave Bolton

Nathan jones possibly ok

Dobbie strong contender

Others we don’t know about might be better

He lacks managerial experience, but what what experience did Critchley have? Nothing really. Not even playing experience.

Dobbie has been there and done it on the pitch, knows all about different pressure situations and occasions. That's relatable to players as he's been there.

He's also a good coach and a likeable guy, yet respected and a good motivator.

He's not been afraid to make a tough decisions even in his interim spell.

I'd argue his playing career experience is worth something, plus even in his limited time in coaching, what he has done he's done very well.

Plays good football and comes across well.

We can always add that experienced number 2 if needed.
