When will outdoor/indoor swimming polls open?

If by poll you mean pool then what’s stopping you from outdoor swimming in the Irish Sea? Apart from the freezing water and raw sewage and dangerous tides that is!

If you do mean outdoor poll, then don’t be taken in, they are usually trying to get your money!

I’ve absolutely no idea with answer to the question but I am intrigued, where is the nearest outdoor swimming pool to Blackpool (not including the Irish Sea 😀) as I’m not aware of any.

The Dive Centre at Capenwray up north from Lancaster offers outdoor swimming, wet suit required for most of the year though some brave souls wear just cossies! but a great swim with interesting observations below as you go round the old rock quarry - the cafe offers some great food and drinks for post swim treats too - highly recommended 👍

Licensed cafe as well, spent many an afternoon sometimes an evening watching the diving with a nice cold beer on the deck.

Nice pub in the village (over Kellet) the Eagles head serve great grub and some nice beer.

More importantly, to save my marriage, when will hairdressers open again. The wife is driving me mad about her hair. Of course I keep saying it looks lovely, but I don’t think she’s buying it. In fairness, her appointment was on New Year’s Eve, the day everything closed.

I desperately need Palatine pool open, I used to "train" 5 times a week to keep fit, & now have only swum 3 times since 20th March when Palatine shut (did Moor Park & it was awful) I cycle now but its not the same, sadly Palatine is undergoing a refurb, which should have been finished early January, now look likely to go on til mid April 🙄 hopefully just as pools/gyms reopen.... I have really missed swimming, as part amphibian, I have suffered 😊🏊🏊🏊. Hurry I need chlorinated water!!! 😁

Yes. I've done several of their midweek triathlons and agree that the water quality is good...just getting in and out over the sharp stones in bare feet that isn't as much fun 😆
Hopefully, they'll be back on again this year - as usually run from June to September.

I did the Bonfire Night Swim there a couple of years ago, packed, enjoyed it but made me realise what a bloody good job the RNLI do in finding ANYONE in the sea at times! 👍
