Near the Spen Corner end of Hawes Side Lane. Me and friends used to drink there 1976-77 (under age). Two of us learned to split half a bitter with a small bottle of Mann's brown ale so as to make it more palatable. The RAG 1968 my brother and his mates had me drink a pint of Lion ales bitter. I swear I can taste that horrible pint to this day,. Nearly put me off alcohol for life ........ only nearly !! Does anybody know where the RAG was ??? one for the Marton troops.
