Where did you buy your first pint?

The Wheatsheaf before going to a night match (Sheff Wed, I think), with a pal called Paul Thompson, who is sadly no longer with us.

We had two quick pints and I was a bit squiffy as I recall...

The Dunes '79 (just after the small rooms had been knocked into 1 pub and separate vaults, whenever that was)
30p IIRC

The Sandpiper Cleveleys. I was 14. First Nightclub was Oasis (I think it was called) in town. I was 16.

I think The White Hart Bouth 1974 on a school camping trip nearby when I was almost 16 & I hadn't a clue what to order so I just copied someone in front of me. They had a folk band on & it was also my first taste of live music & the seeds were planted. Beer music & camping. Cut down on the beer these days but still into live music & camping (with comfort)

The Blue room Stanley arms.

I was 15 so would be around 1973.

Had a raid on that night as I recall (cop shop back then just around the corner) so departed quickly to the toilets to hide.

2 officers came in and I thought that’s me done for but instead they dragged two others out who were smoking dope in one of the bog cubicles I’ve never been so relieved in my life.

Didn’t go in again till the following Saturday night. ☺️

Mariners bar. Norbreck. Boddingtons 25p. And then we would try to get into the Norbreck Nitespot. Never got turned away. Massive bouncer on the door. Still see his face. Big gentle giant. Never saw him get in to any sort of confrontation. 1976 / 79 . Two pounds and every weekend a live act.

The Cross Foxes Prestatyn circa 1961/2 when I was 14. One pint of Mild then told to leave by a rather large landlord.🍺👉

The RAG 1968 my brother and his mates had me drink a pint of Lion ales bitter. I swear I can taste that horrible pint to this day,. Nearly put me off alcohol for life ........ only nearly !! Does anybody know where the RAG was ??? one for the Marton troops.

The Farmers Arms in Muker, a Theakston’s pub in Swaledale, at Easter in 1975.
And my first taste of Old Peculier.
It was on a four-day hiking/camping trip up a 60-odd mile section of the Pennine Way.

Near the Spen Corner end of Hawes Side Lane. Me and friends used to drink there 1976-77 (under age). Two of us learned to split half a bitter with a small bottle of Mann's brown ale so as to make it more palatable.

First pint was probably in the Ghurch House Inn Torver whilst on a school CCF weekend camp

First legal pint would have been in the Winmarith after dashing across lytham road To celebrate after picking my a-level results up from school on my 18th birthday

Would have been either The Supporters Club or The Bloomfield, and probably a Tennents Carling Black Label or Stones. 1986.

Some Cafe Bar in Paris on a school holiday , I can’t remember what year it was but I was either 14 or 15 so 79ish

The Newcomers club, RAF Swinderby, Feb 1978.
I went in there in 1979.
My RAF career lasted 6 days, never very good at taking orders.
Newton Arms was our local from 1979 onwards.
33p for a pint of mixed. 6 pints for a couple of quid midweek.
