Are white people are the lowest minority with just 41% white?
I imagine in 30 years that stat will be standard in many cities.

No they're no. Who published that? Nigel Farage? Two thirds of Londoners are from an ethnic minority according to a report today.

Yes, as I said, very narrow definition of 'identification'. Many British born and bred will label themselves as something else, including White Irish. Doesn't mean they really are.Bloomberg reporting the same
Recently had to complete a form of this type.Yes, as I said, very narrow definition of 'identification'. Many British born and bred will label themselves as something else, including White Irish. Doesn't mean they really are.
Why is that worrying?Leicester
And for the very first time ever Christians in this country are now in a minority.
Worrying times ahead.
Well let’s put it this way if we lived in Saudi Arabia and said Christianity was taking over the country would be in rebellion. Why is that worrying?
I’m not a Christian. Neither is my wife, any of my three children, nor any other friends or relatives I can think of.Leicester
And for the very first time ever Christians in this country are now in a minority.
Worrying times ahead.
That’s because around 37% identified as having no religion. Not sure what you’re worried about though. That were becoming a nation of heathens?Leicester
And for the very first time ever Christians in this country are now in a minority.
Worrying times ahead.
I’am not the one having to make excuses up hence I’am not the one panicking just stating a fact that’s all.I’m not a Christian. Neither is my wife, any of my three children, nor any other friends or relatives I can think of.
Attending church for a wedding or funeral doesn’t mean you’re a Christian.
So I don’t think you need to panic really.
What fact are you stating?I’am not the one having to make excuses up hence I’am not the one panicking just stating a fact that’s all.
It’s not Islam replacing Christianity, it’s an increase in people putting ‘no religion’ over Christianity.Well let’s put it this way if we lived in Saudi Arabia and said Christianity was taking over the country would be in rebellion.
Would never happen though in Saudi but just saying like.
Please stop pounding him with facts. He's not read the findings properly. It’s not Islam replacing Christianity, it’s an increase in people putting ‘no religion’ over Christianity.
The thread is about racial demographics, not religion.
Yes. And here’s the evidence from the ONS.It’s not Islam replacing Christianity, it’s an increase in people putting ‘no religion’ over Christianity.
The thread is about racial demographics, not religion.
Classic bollix. Christians in the minority? You've either spun that to an agenda or you're lacking understanding, because that's not accurate in any way.Leicester
And for the very first time ever Christians in this country are now in a minority.
Worrying times ahead.
I take it you don’t read any papers or watch any news channels you idiot?Classic bollix. Christians in the minority? You've either spun that to an agenda or you're lacking understanding, because that's not accurate in any way.
Christianity is still the dominant faith in the UK.
No one is trying to argue that fewer than 50% of the population identify as Christian. What they’re calling out is the ridiculous inference that it’s been overtaken by Islam.I take it you don’t read any papers or watch any news channels you idiot?
Which bit don’t you understand?
You're right I don't read the papers or much news. I know exactly the bit you don't understand.I take it you don’t read any papers or watch any news channels you idiot?
Which bit don’t you understand?
So no one is trying to argue? No one is trying to argue that fewer than 50% of the population identify as Christian. What they’re calling out is the ridiculous inference that it’s been overtaken by Islam.
As I’ve said 46.2% identify as Christian. Only 6.5% identify as Muslim.
Why don’t you go back and read your post 19. You were clearly inferring Islam was replacing Christianity. It obviously isn’t. 46.2% Christian versus 6.5% Muslim. That’s what everyone is challenging. So no one is trying to argue?
Yer ok.
Simply not true. Why don’t you go back and read your post 19. You were clearly inferring Islam was replacing Christianity. It obviously isn’t. 46.2% Christian versus 6.5% Muslim. That’s what everyone is challenging.
If you go to the other link I posted the figures for race (as opposed to religion) are 81.7% white versus 9.3% Asian.
Those are the facts. Taken from the 2021 census.
Well it’s a mystery why then you were talking about Saudi Arabia and speculating about what would happen there if Christianity was taking over.Simply not true.
I posted a statement about Christianity is now in a minority in this country and people said it was a load of bollocks when clearly it isn’t.
I’ve never once mentioned religion I never mentioned Muslims and I never mentioned Asians in anything I’ve said but clearly you and others are reading something that’s clearly not there and then accusing me of saying these things.
How bizarre is that?
How can a 'lowest minority' be 41%?Are white people are the lowest minority with just 41% white?
I imagine in 30 years that stat will be standard in many cities.
I think there's a spade in my garage if you need help digging?Simply not true.
I posted a statement about Christianity is now in a minority in this country and people said it was a load of bollocks when clearly it isn’t.

Never claimed such a thing, once again you’re reading into it what you think is there when it’s clearly not.Well it’s a mystery why then you were talking about Saudi Arabia and speculating about what would happen there if Christianity was taking over.
Because that reads as if you were claiming that Islam was replacing Christianity in the U.K. which is clearly not the case.
Well like I said - it’s a mystery why you posted that then.Never claimed such a thing, once again you’re reading into it what you think is there when it’s clearly not.
“reads as if”
Yes I accept that never I’ve said any different.Well like I said - it’s a mystery why you posted that then.
But it’s good that you’ve seemingly accepted that anyone who claims Islam is replacing Christianity in the U.K. is talking complete bollocks
The real debate should be why so many people in the U.K. have decided Christianity is not for them and that they have opted for “no religion”.
Can you explain the thought process behind this comment in relation to the subject you raised? Why use this example?Well let’s put it this way if we lived in Saudi Arabia and said Christianity was taking over the country would be in rebellion.
Would never happen though in Saudi but just saying like.
I've no idea, in this day and age you'd think everyone would believe in a magic fairy kingdom where only the pious are allowed, ruled over by a tyrannical omnipresent deity who takes the credit for everything good while blaming us for everything bad and damning us to eternal torture unless we do everything it says.Well like I said - it’s a mystery why you posted that then.
But it’s good that you’ve seemingly accepted that anyone who claims Islam is replacing Christianity in the U.K. is talking complete bollocks

No I’ve finished on this subject. Can you explain the thought process behind this comment in relation to the subject you raised? Why use this example?
As a side point, for the non religious there is absolutely no need to go down the church route for funerals, weddings etc. My partner is a humanist celebrant. She does funerals that tell the story of people's lives and weddings that confirm in public people's commitments to each other. No hocus pocus. These kind of ceremonies are becoming more and more popular. No one is trying to argue that fewer than 50% of the population identify as Christian. What they’re calling out is the ridiculous inference that it’s been overtaken by Islam.
As I’ve said 46.2% identify as Christian. Only 6.5% identify as Muslim.
Im a Jedi KnightChristianity is still the dominant faith in the UK.
I'm one of the 37% that doesn't identify with any faith.
