Who gets dropped for Bloxham

On the bench to begin with then replace Apter for him.

Having the option of Apter or Blox plus CJ off the bench with 20 mins to go would be powerful against tiring legs. CJ shouldn't start for us unless it is against an ultra attacking team who play a high line defence.

I think Bloxham and AJ (sic) will be on the bench and it'll be a similar starting line up to last night. That's why he made the changes he did to give them a bit of a rest ahead of Saturday.

Ennis has played well in both of the last two games despite not scoring.

I would possibly play Bloxham down the right instead of Apter.

Good to have the options.

Bench.

You don't change a winning team, although SB tried it with the subs which could have cost us.

Just on Tommy B, hopefully people haven't built him up too much, lad is new, young and form will dip at some point. Blistering start, lets hope it continues, but hope is the word not expectation.

If match fit, which I don't think he will be yet, Bloxham starts instead of Apter on that right hand side Saturday, it'll be the bench for him to start with though I'd have thought.

You forget how much football RA has actually played this season, looks a little burnt out to me.

He's made 40 appearances this season for us & although he played the same amount of games for Tranmere last season, for saying it's a step up I don't think he would be given anywhere near the game time he's been given with us if we had competition behind him from the get go.

Apter. His crossing and accuracy needs improvement. Three quick successive crosses in the second half either picked up by their keeper x 2 and another into no-man’s land over the top of everyone.

Well we can't drop Fletcher or Ennis. Carey has to start also. That basically leaves Apter, Evans or Morgan. Based on last night, I'd drop Evans and move Carey back into central midfield.

I wouldn't change Carey from what he's doing now. In fact I wouldn't let him change his undies. He's going through a Purple Patch (no undies connection) so let that continue.

If I'm picking the team, at the moment I'd be thinking about Carey and Morgan in the middle, Apter and Bloxham wide, fletch and Ennis up top. Then vary things around that. So Evans a rest for me. I think when Fletch and Ennis went off last night we struggled, same on Saturday really, so Bloxham gives us another option in a few positions and also off the bench, where he might have enjoyed himself against a tiring defence last night.

Will start on the bench but eventually will be in for Fletcher. Apter coukd be another in danger. Carey is playing well so not a chance he will or should be moved atm

he puts far more effort into a game than Fletcher though. At the moment the chances are falling for Fletcher and he's taking them whereas Ennis is not.
Fletcher at least gave their centre halves something to think about. Effort is one thing, not all.

I'd say Ennis effort gave their centre halves far more to think about than Fletcher. To me, a lot of the balls played forward were much more in Ennis direction than Fletchers. But Fletcher is doing well at the moment and getting the goals so that's good.

He was signed as a winger. Apter will drop out. I'm not sure Bruce would be playing him every week in what is his first season at this level, if it wasn't needs must.

Those talking about moving Carey back in place of Evans or Morgan miss the point that it's his move further forward that has sparked his better form.

your last post absolutely hits the nail on the head. Carey has been pretty much absolved from his defensive duties and he's playing further forward than Evans and Morgan and where he can get at the opposition. Morgan has hit a bit of slump in form for me too. Evans started very well last night but he's some way to go to get back to his best.

Morgan for 2 assists at Barnsley.. apart from that though ;)

yep, think i did comment on that. Of course his two assists are vital but just think his all round game has dropped a notch. I think he knows that too as his frustration can sometimes show. Was it last week he had about half a dozen shots with none on target some of which were very decent chances..

I think Morgan has lost his shooting boots but he's still a nailed on starter for me and way ahead of Evans currently on performance levels but neither of those are going anywhere unless Evans gets booked on Saturday which will earn him a 2 game ban.
Ideally Bloxham needs a bit of a free role (like Carey currently has) and if you listen to Bruce it seems he doesn't expect too much defensively from his wingers.
So Tom has got to replace Apter, IMO, but I don't expect he will start on Saturday. His return does give a better opportunity to mix and match the wingers and central strikers and not forgetting the return of "AJ" sic who Brucey said should also be fit for Saturday.

think they are both nailed on starters. Thought Evans was much the better performer last night as i said to my mate last night after about 40 mins that Morgan hadn't been in the game. That happens sometimes but he'll come back again.

No thanks to putting Carey in a midfield two a three fine but that would mean going back to the dreaded three at the back and no wingers.

When fully fit you start Bloxham with Apter on the bench you then bring Rob on second half move Tom to forward and that would save currently having to bring Beesley on.
