Who is Lancashire CCC's greatest overseas player?

All good shouts but for me (like others) Clive Lloyd, served the club for nearly 20 years, total legend and ambassador to LCCC. An all time great of the game.

I voted for Wasim because he is probably the best cricketer I have ever seen play regularly. The best all rounder in the world in his generation.

Sir Clive will win and rightly so for his overall contribution to cricket and Lancs . . . arguably over his lifetime the biggest ambassador for the game.

Left leg = Wasim
Right leg = Clive

BOTH amazing amazing players and I am attached to both!

I once spent a couple of hours in the bar on the back of an Emirates 380 with Farokh by pure chance - what a thoroughly nice gentleman.

Wasim was a terrific bowler but it is Lloyd for me. He was a terrific batsman, a decent bowler, an excellent slip fielder and a brilliant tactician. And, as others have said, he played for much longer than Wasim and was a great ambassador for the club

Has to be Sir Clive for me as well, elegant and powerful, made batting and fielding look effortless.

Just voted Clive Lloyd and he’s got 62% of the vote at the moment.
I got his autograph at Stanley Park as well as Engineer, Barry Wood, David Lloyd, Harry Pilling, Peter Lever, Jack Simmons, Ken Shuttleworth, Jack Bond, Frank Hayes. I’m missing someone , Sullivan?

Clive Lloyd for me too, then Farokh Engineer, used to love going to Stanley Park with my old man during the 60’s to watch Lancashire play. Good laugh listening to all the drunks shouting out comments as the day went by! Happy days.

Al I remember Lancashire playing a Sunday limited over game in the 70's at Stanley Park.
It was a lovely day and the beer was getting some hammer by Tea time I was steaming.
It was my round so off I went to the beer tent got the beer in and thought I would sit down for a minute.
The next thing I remember was being woken up by my brother.
He told me you have been gone for nearly an hour.!!!!!!!!!!!! Happy Days indeed.

Doesn’t sound like you Dave!!!!!! 😂🍻🍺👍

I grew up in Cheadle and we used to cycle past Clive Lloyd's bungalow in the hope of spotting him. On the occasions we did he would often wave and shout "get to a field and play some cricket!"
In sixth form, I worked at the petrol station 2 minutes from his house; he often called in as part of his "Sunday routine" I swear even at my age now if I saw him, I would still be awe!
His lads, John and David went onto be average tennis players, but having Chrissy Evatt in the family must have been a bonus :)

Or Peter Lee?

We've had a few! CH Lloyd will almost certainly win this. A real hero of mine and many others. Let's not forget Faroukh Engineer, who was a great servant to Lancs. Murali was only with us a season, wasn't he?
FFS. How could I have forgotten Wasim Akram?!!! A supremely gifted all rounder and also a great LCC servant.

Clive Lloyd was a wonderful servant of the club for many years.Head and shoulders above the rest.I watched him many times for Lancs a great player and a really good team man too.

Clive Lloyd all day long, and yes Engineer was also superb, I remember them batting at Stanley Park in the sixties launching sixes all over the place. I think the other batsman that day who caught my eye was a little fella called Harry Pilling, he also was very good.

Went to a Sportsman's Dinner with Clive Lloyd years ago. Utterly charming man. Great anecdotes about Viv Richards and a very young Andrew Flintoff. Interesting disparity when he was Knighted and Jimmy Armfield wasn't?!
