Who runs/owns this site and who are the Mods?

Maybe you guys could organise a "Meet the Owners & Moderators" Forum at a Local Hotel ... Probably best make it a small one though, as I'd expect most normal folk won't actually be remotely arsed 👍

Same old faces involved in the launch some of which tried to start a new board of their own when the O's were here.Before of course beginning to ban anyone who was deemed troublesome and nearly caused the board to fold.

I didn’t actually end up going in, in the end. I met a nice Southern Bloke in the queue who invited me to watch the film at his private cinema, so I ended up going there instead.

It’s the same people who own the existing site. They said they were going to do it ages ago.

The old site is creaking at the seams, it goes down at critical times and so something had to be done.

The site is a huge improvement, whoever is responsible should be congratulated, being over here the last few days makes you realise how antiquated old avftt was.
 
Fcuking hell, that’s 5 minutes of my life I’ll never get back! The original owners said they were updating it ages ago, who else would it be? As for the mods, I don’t think we need to know, plus it’s a job most of us wouldn’t want to do.

when this forum is up to speed there will likely be sub forums, we need one called “the nets” so you and OG and a few others can practice your run chasing, Plumbs can have his keep net in there too? 🤪

Herts, why shouldn’t we know who the mods are? I think we absolutely should regardless of whether we would want to do it
 
Plumbs keepnet is stowed in a secret secure lockup somewhere in deepest Southeast London, manned 24hrs for a rapid response.

Kinda like a 4th emergency service in many ways.
 
If I was a mod on here, I wouldn’t want all and sundry to know, they are there to make sure the rules are followed, allow free speech and remove any posts that could have any legal ramifications.
 
I should imagine if anyone owned up to being a mod, their life would be hell on here from some quarters. Just to add I'm not one, am not interested in becoming one, and am not bothered who they are, I personally have plenty of paint to watch drying.watching paint dry.jpg

I think its important that any moderation is done independently and not by a fan,especially those who have had agendas previously and ended up banning their own. It nearly ruined the last one when there were more people banned than were posting,albeit with the threat of the O's looming over the proceedings.

That's fine Plumbs but why would someone who ain't a fan read this site in an unpaid role.
It would be like me moderating the Preston site.
 
I can’t say I’m bothered who the mods are, but evidently it seems to be a very important matter, so hopefully AVFTT will reveal the information soon👍

I thought AVFTT and others were a business paid for by advertising? That said I haven't been peppered with stuff on here.

We were reliant on the forum pretty much self moderating up to about 6 months ago, unless we got complaints or saw posts that needed editing ourselves, however after a similar thread to this one on the old forum, we asked if anyone would like to take over and moderate it. Three fans came forward (none had ever moderated before) and two of them have continued to moderate but both wanted to remain anonymous, which we understood and respected. Hope that answers your questions.

Spion, I retired from runchasing a long long time ago.....it was too easy and having broken all records many times I decided to put my trotters up 👍
