At the beginning of the season, I said I would be delighted if we made the playoffs, though not expected. Looks like it's still a possible ..but unlikely outcome.

I think Posh will win the Play Offs no matter if we're in them or not. Ironically the worst thing they did was beating us in the BSM Trophy as I think they would have won automatic as I think the Oxford game was just one too many for them (annoyingly as if they'd got a draw in that game we'd have been 1 point and not 3 off the U's.

I think it looks pretty unlikely. I thought Pompey would beat Barnsley but surprised at Oxford losing. Lincoln obviously wounded after the Wigan loss at home. I think Oxford will easily beat Stevenage especially now no manager etc. If we beat Barnsley and it’s a big if !! then I still think it will be a bridge to far. Reading away it’s unlikely we’ll win there and Barnsley will beat Northampton. Hopefully it will all go wrong for the other teams involved but just can’t see it.

Two of 4 will reach the playoffs and the odds are ...

Barnsley 1/12
Oxford 1/4
Lincoln 5/2
Blackpool 13/2

All season I've been thinking 'we must eventually come good' and we haven't really managed the consistency to prove that right.

Therefore, if I completely give up hope...

We will beat Barnsley on Saturday and then lose against Reading on the final day with Barnsley dropping points against Northampton.

Book mark it.

A no from me, don’t think the other dependencies will go our way, even if we win our remaining games.

I cannot forget Cardiff and Orient conspiring to do us. I went to York, hoping for a Posh miracle at Oxford. I went to Sincil Bank, thinking Mansfield would slip up and that a draw with in-form Lincoln would suffice. When we went ahead at Old Trafford, I thought 'yes, we can do this'.

Each time, fate conspired against us when we deserved better.

So, perhaps this time I should use negative thinking to see us prevail?

Unlikely but it's not impossible. The next game is always the most important so let's get stuck into those Yorkshire puddings.

Agree, they should have made top two

That would be the worst scenario😂😳🤦‍♂️
Most likely scenario, it just makes too much sense for the way this season is gone...

Go into final day with a chance... Barnsley down 2-0 at HT and we're tied 0-0 with Reading...

2nd half goes on with plenty missed chances from us...

Barnsley still losing... still 0-0...

90'+3.............

GOAL READING.

Very good😂

At the end of the day, I think the majority on here realise we just aren't good enough. Must try better next season in a much tougher division, but a lot will depend on the quality of our summer signings. We also need to introduce more physicality!

We’ve just unconvincingly beaten two of the worst teams in the league?
There again we might rise to the occasion.
The Stevenage news is a blow.

All we can do is win our games and hope for the best. Unlikely, but a bonus, if it happens. It would be good to take it to the last Saturday though. I will be touring the Royal Yacht Britannia then, but will be wearing my tangerine socks.

No one saw Palace beating Liverpool or Arsenal loosing. End of season brings crazy results. Focus on ourselves and beating Barnsley 🍊

I've learned over 70 years of supporting Blackpool not to expect too much. There have been more downs than ups in those years but I still plod along hoping that one day , yes it may happen. However, had we had four or five games left with the current situation I would have been extremely optimistic. BUT, and it's a big BUT, I feel it is too little too late.

Now get out there and prove me wrong lads. UTMP

Attack, attack, attack. nowt to lose now.

I can add Huddersfield (1968) Wrexham (1997) and Walsall in 1991 to that list. Possibly Swansea too in 2007.
There have been some positives though including Leyton Orient home ( Billy Ayre) Darlington (2001) and Bristol City in 2010

My heart says Yes but head says no.
If there had been a similar option to vote then I am sure it would be well in the lead now.

I have tried to forget Walsall as that was just…urghhh…whereas Wrexham in 1997 was comparable to this season….a late run and a smidgeon of hope, only to be dashed. Those +ive outcomes were strange; I actually felt confident for all 3.

Have replied 'Nah .. you're 'avin' a laugh' .. however the fact you can change your vote, if Oxford don't win tonight (and I don't mind a draw as they'd have to win their last game regardless of goal difference and if we beat Barnsley then it's game on regardless of what Lincoln do.
If Oxford only draw/lose and Barnsley lose to us by my reckoning (bearing in mind we'd have to do a job at Reading!) then it does go to the final day.
