Failing that, Trybull might be off, but I think he'll likely hang on past the end of the window and the contract will be cancelled by mutual consent.

Virtue, the rumours over Wrexham seem to have gone quiet.

Tharme, maybe, if the club can find an LCB.
 
Is someone actually going to take Trybull not so sure? Maybe this could work in our favour once he realizes bigger clubs are NOT queuing up to sign him on a better deal.
Other than that agree Tharme doesn’t look like being in our plans so let him go and prove NC wrong, same with Holmes but to a decent club not some club 3 / 4 leagues below us FFS where we learn nothing from the deal.
Other than that take your pick it’s just can we replace them with better, most of the squad should be fine at this level so questions have to be asked if our current form continues, pity no exciting signings or anyone willing to take our money

i thought / heard Wrexham were sniffing around Virtue or they may have moved on now to someone else
 
Can see Dale and Virtue going. Long shot for Carey too. Dougall maybe, depends on him and interest from Aus as their season starts in Sept/Oct?

There too many samey types in midfield without one being outstanding and an easy first XI pick.

No chance Kouassi gets loaned out. The whole point is for him to train with us.

Sadler has more than enough money to purchase Moxon from the Bowler, Yates and Critchley deals.
It's that he doesn't want to spend any of it.

Tharme played regular L1 football last season, ok as cover for me and if injuries give him his chance let him take it
 
Virtue, Trybull and Dale are the obvious choices. Virtue has interest from other clubs, Trybull wants interest from other clubs, and Dale couldn't even make a sub appearance at Wolves.
 
What is the current position with squad numbers? Any in-comings and exits will be determined by that won't they. How close are we to the 22 outfield player limit?

Talked about this so many times. This money isn't sat in the bank somewhere. It's been spent ten times over on infrastructure, salaries, agent fees, events, loans blah blah blah. It's boring at this point

There's money for players Sadler just won't sanction the right amount for the right players.

Nothing to do with stadium, I'm talking about the upgrades to the current training ground, the development of the new training ground, the general upkeep of the club, the staff wages, the community trust, the player wages, Appleton compensation, MM compensation etc etc etc.

So many costs that people never take into consideration and there is no way the club is in a position to sustainably manage those without dipping into Sadler's pockets regularly.

It's also been made quite clear for a while that the business plan for the club (whether we like it or not) is to buy young/cheap, develop and potentially sell on for an improved fee. It's why the development squad, academy and the staffing around it have seen investment.

Finally, as people have pointed out, it was a slow start last time we were in this league under Critch. It got better. Do we need investment in our attacking options to achieve the ambition of the club? Absolutely. But we're not about to spend 2 million on a striker like some people want and frankly nor should we cause then what was the point of selling Yates?

22 man outfield players squad allowed ( goalkeepers don't count )

25 man outfield players currently in squad ( not incl. development players )
2 under 21's who don't count towards squad

Total squad at present 23 players

We need to get rid before we sign anyone else

I count 24 unless you include Apter and Kouassi, but they're both U21 as well, so 22 senior outfield players.

Jensen Weir also qualifies as U21 because he was he turned 21 in January this year, I left out Kouassi since he was a bit part player at Sutton and I can't see him as being ready for a first team role here.

I've altered Jenson Weir to under 21 👍 So to me that's now 22 outfield players
So we'll have to get rid before we sign

I don't think Matty would have started at Molineux if there was a deal on the table.
I would be sorry to see him go anyway.
Given that our strikers can't shoot straight, MV is still our best chance of scoring a goal from midfield.
