Who would want Steve Evans as manager?

I was watching him yesterday and he struggled getting in and out of the dug out.
To answer the O/P, definitely not. Their football was awful and despite their leagues position and the fact they beat us (very fortunately, I might add) they are the worst team I have seen by a country mile.
People come on here and moan constantly about Critch but if we had to suffer that shite Evans pus out then the board would be in meltdown.

Absolutely not. I had the Stevenage commentary on the game yesterday. Whoever the co-commentator was a far from impressed with their constant aimless long balls. Even after scoring he wasn’t very complimentary about their team.

Also, and I know this sounds horrible, I don’t understand how someone could be involved at a football club with all the fitness facilities it has available and be in the condition he is. As said above he could barely get in and out of the dugout.

I have just had a look at his Wikipedia . WOW to say he has had as chequered past as a football manager would be an understatement. Finished playing at 24. ONE Club and i think it was Boston. All sorts of dodgy contracts were involved. Worth a look. No not a chance.

At the end of the game he struggled to waddle across the pitch. By the time he got there the coach had almost finished the post match team talk. Reminded me of the fat coppers in the Fast Show. Do they pay him in doughnuts?

He’s often mentioned on the undr the cosh podcast by many of his former players and usually to some acclaim. Given the right budget he gets teams promoted and getting Stevenage where they are this season should be acknowledged

He makes the most from what he has to work with and he is getting better results than our manager who has far more resources at his disposal. Is he better than Critchley in league one? Apparently so because he gets more with less.

Does'nt have a good attitude towards the game, to set a team up to play the way they do, have players that obstruct etc 'off the ball' you can clearly see what his tactics are and what type of person he is. His weight problem cant be good for his day to day work.

Obviously it's not pretty to watch but credit where it's due, every player knows his role and every player in the squad has been kept or recruited with specific qualities in mind. He's got them punching above their weight and it's getting every last ounce from his squad. Similar to how Luton have progressed. Can we say the same?
