Who would you be talking to in January?

Ekpiteta and Husband are two I would be happy to see sign.
Lavery and CJ talk at the end of the season to see how they got on for the rest of this campaign, if either sign somewhere else in the meantime so be it.

Possibly talk to Carey at end of the season. I know he’s having a bit of a purple patch at the moment and if he actually maintains this form then I would be happy to see him sign 👍.
I just think we need to “push on” a bit in terms of quality.

I suppose it will come down to which division we're going to be in, I'm beginning to doubt promotion this season, so for League 1

O'Donnell maybe another 12 months
CJ juries still out
Marv definitely keep
Lavery keep providing his hamstrings hold up
Connolly can leave
Carey definitely keep, still young and improving
Dougall definitely keep
Husband definitely keep
Dale can leave
Virtue can leave, too injury prone
Tharme can leave
Chapman another 12 months

If we were to be promoted we may need better than O'Donnell, Chapman, CJ and Carey.

Dougall, Hubby, Dale, Eki and O’Donnell for the back up. I wouldn’t lose sleep if we lost the others for free.
 
Maybe Clarke Harris
He will leave Posh and is still only 29.
Depends how many other offers he gets but he is a good finisher up to Championship standard
 
I'd look to buy a young player from Aldershot called Josh Stokes a winger aged 19 who has scouts buzzing around him at the moment ...one to nurture and bring through the ranks..then sell on for 5 mill 😌

Fully agree Tangy, but the TV opinion last week was that there's a lot higher than League 1 looking at him.

Our only hope would be that they don't want him to go too high too soon, otherwise we've no chance.

This squad is proving it’s not good enough to gain promotion, so unless a quick turnaround a big clear out is required. Keep Marv, Dougal and Hubby, others like CJ, Virtue Carey and even Lavery need a strong 2nd half of the season to even consider talking about new contracts. If no promotion this season time to be ruthless and re-build.
 
Eki, Carey, Dougall, Husband are the only 4 I'd consider in January.

The 2 keepers are probably cheap and tick boxes in terms of cover and budget. I wouldn't rush to resign them though.

Connolly is on a huge wage and that can't be justified.

Lavery just can't stay fit, so I'd want to see a strong finish before I'd offer him a new deal.

CJ, Dale and Virtue are not Championship level, so until we know which division we are in, we shouldn't be tying them to a new deal.

Squires, Miles, Tharme, Mariette, Trusty and Donkor? Just played in the game against Morecambe. Critchley has worked with young players for virtually his whole career so I would think he is pretty clued up when it comes to deciding who is ready for full blown Lg1 action.

Critch spoke highly of them yes…so let’s see how many impact the first team between now and the end of the season shall we ? I can’t think of a Critch precedent and our best young player Andy Lyons can’t even make the league matchday 18 currently.

Sure I've read it's his destination come January.
 
Suprised so many would let Connolly go
He covers a lot of positions e. g Norburn probably out this weekend..
Not a regular starter but a great option off the bench

Yep you might end up needing an extra one or two in the squad and for defensive cover on the bench, leaving less room for game-changers if you let him go.
