Why do “people” insist

…in saying British Airways is our “ national or flag “ carrier.

No they are not….at best they should be called London Airways as they effectively cut off the rest of the Country years ago. They don’t represent me🤬

Wouldn’t touch them with a barge pole personally and why should I bother travelling to London for a flight which I can do from the likes of Manchester with if need be excellent onward connections to many other places which they fly into.Given their recent record my dislike is even more justified.

National flag carriers are only valid if nationalised. That finished years ago.

Another one talking the country down at a time of national crisis.

Aeroflot - carrier of choice for some so called patriots.
Do you mean me……if so all I can say this is nothing to do with talking the country down this is about an airline that has deserted the vast majority of Britain for it’s own commercial reasons which is fair enough but they shouldn’t see itself as representing “British” because it doesn’t.

I love my country ( and that means all of the UK) and always will.

But try getting a flight from Manchester to a whole host of places. It's infuriating and virtually leaves you no choice but to either -
1. Spend a lot more with long wait times for connections
2. Travel in the opposite direction to your destination to get the connection
3. Travel down to either heathrow or Gatwick.

Your choice as they say.
...however unless you are a lot closer to either of the ones in point 3 I don’t quite see your point re point 1 but then despite being only 15 minutes from MIA I have no appetite to fly anywhere right now so it’s probably a mute point.

Forgive me but how the hell did Farage ( a ** by the way) get into this thread🤔

Anyway good night all and hopefully we’ll all still be here in the morning😳providing Putin let’s us😉
