Why should Saturday be any different than Tuesday ?

Same players ? Same tactics ? And the same ( inbred) view that “We should be beating teams like these”. Should we ? Do we ?
In the last 45 years, Pool have enjoyed about 10 years in the upper reaches of the football pyramid. Reality check needed !

I personally think there has to be a balance between your position of an extreme small time mentality.

And booing players because we've played shit.

Patience is needed, considering we've fired on 0 cylinders so far, we've got 5 points and conceded 0 goals.

I must admit, with all respect to the opening poster, I've just bought an ice cream in the lakes, wandered over to a 3 bar gate and am watching the lambs in the field all gambolling around and I thought of the OP and I thought, what a load of bollux.

ps I buy a lot of ice cream in the lakes by 3 bar gates.

3 bar kit kats are better

Let Marv do what he does best and defend. He's no Charlie Adam or Vaughan with the ability to spray accurate passes all over the pitch. And show some attacking intent with 2 up front and CJ out wide on the wing.

If the lambs are frolicking, shouldn't it be a 3 baa gate

We will be playing a side with lots of injuries, probably a rookie goalkeeper, missing last years leading scorer, plus their manager and asst manager. If we cant win .........
Surely must go on the attack or play on the " front foot," as Critchley likes to say .

Grimshaw
Casey Pennington husband
Lyons thompson
Norburn Morgan weir
Lavery Beesley/Joseph

Yep I think that’s what I would do, but not sure if Weir will have played enough yet to start, and I don’t think we will see Joseph for a while.
Pennington played mainly on the right at Shrewsbury so maybe play Casey centrally.
Lyons and Thompson were our wingback’s at Derby which was our best performance (different from a league game I know), but some entertainment would be good.
Three points and thats eight from four and a good start, although three of those at home and not against the stiffest opposition.

Orient are coming here having lost all 3 league games so searching for their first point.
It’s pretty dam obvious maybe not to Critchley they are going to come here packing men in defence so it’s not going to be pretty.
If we start with the same 11 and tactics like the hoofball up to Lavery it’s an utter piss take.

Or, "play on the grass," as Critchley also likes to say, whether that be on the front foot or the back foot ...

Because we’re picking the team. An AVFTT collective decision we’ll put it to the vote.

If Richie has any sense he'll watch the video from Tuesday and do exactly the same as Vale.
If Critch has any sense he'll change formation and players and catch them on the back foot.

I believe that in general the fans that were booing were not booing individual players ,but the poor tactics that were being used , which at no time in the first half was there any attempt to sort out.

I'll never boo during a game & only in exceptional circumstances (Oystons etc) but I thought they were booing the ref (if that's still allowed)
