Who'd be Simon Sadler?

So i'm not going to feel sorry for him, he's a big boy with lots of money and a nice life. He is finding out how hard it is to walk in Karl's shoes though! A legion of irate supporters to keep at bay. Expensive, well laid plans struggling to get off the ground. At least it's only a virtual cyberspace problem at the moment, with regard to the irate fans.
A legion of fans that turned on Grayson. "Clueless!". "Dinosaur!" And now turns on Critchley. "Too complicated for League One!" "Clueless!"
Sadler paid Grayson for two years, a year and a bit ago. Critchley has at least a two year contract? Maybe Karl was right to do rolling contracts. To sign players on 1+1s. It's a really difficult game, running a football club.
We can't expect Sadler to keep firing people and hiring another. If he sacked Critchley he would be effectively paying three managers simultaneously. Nuttall on a 3 year contract. Would you do that? With your own money? Is it realistic to expect success in three months? Six months? A year? Two years? It's absolutely shit at the moment, losing at Wimbledon with 9 men. Grim. I nearly nutted the kitchen wall tonight in despair. But in my opinion you stick with people and tell them to keep going, and work out what help they need. You fight your way out of despair. You need some courage. Trust your judgement, believe in the people you chose, support them and get behind them. Slowly, slowly, turn things round.
Just cos the Oystons have gone, it doesn't mean we have been given the keys to instant success. There are football clubs all over England fighting to get up the leagues. Clubs that have people in high positions who know how things work. Sadler is all new to this. It will take time, and the fans need to back off and accept that it's a long game. We have a great set up now, it will come good. In due time. Be patient. Be supportive.
