main reason being we have a chance of handing another lesson to Sunderland in the League 1 showpiece assuming Embleton helps getting us to Wembley

if we can win the last two - it really hangs on Tuesday’s match, we’ll be playing the weakest play-off team -Lincoln are likely to play Sunderland if we win both

No, if we loose the last 2 games, Pompey and Oxford win we miss out on Goal difference that is a fact, work the table out, not rocket science😢

Bit of nonsense that really. You talk as if it's a given that we'll beat Sunderland in a one off final. There was a thread not long back on fine margins. It was two very close games against Sunderland and both results could easily have gone the other way.

Assuming we get ourselves over the line tomorrow night I’m not hugely fussed who we play in the playoffs. I’m just delighted we’ll be there. Over two legs I think our defensive strength will be really important and I do believe we suit playing the better footballing teams (as results have shown) so I reckon teams will be worrying about us more than we are them.
If (a huge if) we get to the play offs and then into the final it’s a lottery. I’ll enjoy the day and hope for the best.

Camberwell, there are no “weak” teams in the playoffs.
All teams are there are merit (and not forgetting we need a point) and it is down to who performs best under the pressure.
I have mentioned on another thread that it makes no difference if you finish 3rd or 6th or whether you are home or away in the first leg.
You have got to perform on the night, don’t bottle it, and beat the team in front of you, whoever that might be.
We have probably got the best record over the last 3 months (although I’ve not looked at the stats) so does that make us favourites?
Not at all.

Funny, the fact that we have beaten Sunderland twice recently worries me more in any face-off with them, I’d rather face a team who might underestimate us!

If we ever really got to a point where we were almost unbeatable, I’d be a nervous wreck. When your starting point for your expectations is low, getting beat hardly registers - that’s when I’m happy 😂

Not quite a fact - if we 1) got beat both games but 2) only lost by one goal in each match but 3) scored 18 goals in the process and 4) Oxford only won 1-0 then we would go up on goal scored. 😄

I see where the OP is coming from and his views are perfectly valid.

I would rather avoid Lincoln in the semi final myself as I think they are more dangerous than the others and in better form than most. But if grounds are going to be largely empty I don't think which order you play games in matters as much as usual.

We’ve shown in previous Play Offs that it’s all down to the way that we prepare that will see us through - Critch would arguably do as well calling Larry, Bowyer and Ollie to see what they did!
