Windbreaks for caravans

I have a caravan but want to get a windbreak so I can sit out even when the breeze is up.

I know I can get cheap ones for next to fuck all but I need a bit of knowledge from those who use them for Camping, campervanning, motor homing etc.

What height is best, which are best for pitching on hardcore as a lot of pitches are now, are inflatable ones worth the money etc etc

Any insight will be appreciated 👍*

makes and models you’d recommend also appreciated

*I appreciate in advance I’ll get the usual hilarious “gags” 🥲

You will need
Wooden poles a quality wood like Beech.
Length of fabric, I would go for canvas and get it printed.
Silver or bronze push pins.
Needle and strong thread/nylon or sewing machine.

Blood, our friends have an Outwell one for their Motorhome, it’s excellent, sturdy but not cheap - around £300, we bought a cheap one and it’s gash….. they got it from Prestons the Motorhome place - near Preston

Blood, as you say you can buy cheaper versions but you get what you pay for.
The inflatable ones are good but quite costly per foot.
Fiamma are a good make and a lot nowadays have steel rigid poles as opposed to the string lines for supporting them.

I have an Isabella awning and wind break, they are brilliant. Expensive but worth every penny, they are sturdy, well made and last forever, barring accidents of course. The windbreaker even has panels in so you can still see the surrounding beauty if you wish. I can’t recommend them highly enough and I have been caravanning for 50 years. Hope this helps with your decision, good luck.

What site you on blood in brixham?? I'm on hillhead....I have an old style windbreak but would love an air windbreak

I don’t want a windbreak for the wind. I want it as a screen and to create a little area for my Dogs to be calm

not that I need to explain why I want one. I was just asking for a bit of knowledge

When I get back I’ll catch up with my relatives on the Palatine leisure centre Caravan site and ask for their Windbreak wisdom

Will you be asking for recommendations for swimming trunks/bikinis,sunglasses and flip flops for hot weather walkies. ffs dog owners are ** weirdos.
