What do you consider our best team will be (if injury free) and where would you estimate our finish league position to be?
Picking your best 11 is tricky as means leaving someone out who we might want in? 😜

I think it's all about squad rotation in a compressed season, we are seeing injuries and suspensions leave us short of players each game. We planned for it, lots of options and some versatile players.

And I couldn't pick a team anyway tbh. It's hard to predict where we will finish, we need more goals, but I remain relatively optimistic and think 4th to 8th. We will get stronger as others weaken, I reckon. Always thought this. We are still getting better. Robson and Dougall haven't played together yet and Dougall is still getting fully match fit. Ballard and Gretarsson neither I think. Gabriel is just getting going. Garbutt and Woodburn haven't yet, but will. Virtue to come back, hasn't played yet. Sarkic has kept getting niggly injuries. Anderson been out for a while. The forward line is still coming together.

And it's good to come from behind, as the old saying goes.

Yes, I think it is about staying up and developing our tactics. As I've posted elsewhere, I don't think there is a best XI. We should be confident enough in the players to see them interchange to suit what Critchley wants.

Maxwell
Gabriel Marv Ballard Garbutt
CJ Robson Dougall Kai Kai
Madine Yates

from what we have seen so far. But as above all about squad rotation if you play the pressing game.

Possibly not far off mine, but I would like to get Woodburn in somehow.

It's a good question and we've got about 10,000 threads on it. One from everyone that went to Barnet.
I tend to dip in and out of the site, sorry if it’s been asked before, ps I’m the only one who didn’t go to Barnet 😜

My main problem with our side is that we're best when Madine and Yates are playing together but what happens when one gets injured or hits a bad patch?

I think that Maxwell is our only guaranteed starter, if he gets injured we are screwed, GK is the only position we don't have a quality backup, all other positions have at least 2 decent options.
