World Cup ODI England v South Africa

Pretty much a must win game for both teams following disappointing results last time out.

England won toss and put S A in to bat and it paid off an early wicket for Topley.

Willey is never international quality for me. Just a decent county player who can bowl quite well and bat a bit but is not international standard at either.

Shame so few fans are in the stadium for these games, somethings fundamentally wrong with the pricing if you can’t fill a cricket stadium in India.

Yep. Other than India games the attendances have been dreadful. Watched a game the other day the place was near empty.

South Africa have started to score freely now after a very good start by England.

Mark Wood now joins the bowling attack.

S A 60/1 off 11 overs.

Yeh the support for England has been poor over there, not sure how many fans have travelled out to India to support? Doesn’t seem many! Maybe it’s the cost putting the Barmy Army off or just the length of time of the whole tournament

They're on for 360+, we need to try and keep that down to 320. With Topley struggling, we are in a bit of trouble here.

Players on both sides really struggling with the conditions and the outfield. We will only have about 6 players left after this game at this rate. SA turning the screw now too. Can't see this being England's tournament in these conditions.

After clawing our way back into it 15/20 overs ago we’ve caved in now with some absolutely shocking bowling.

Credit to these two batsmen who have piled on the runs but we’ve gifted them half the runs with some terrible bowling Atkinson just gone for 20 off that last over just isn’t good enough at this level.

Topley’s turn now to be knocked out of the ground unbelievable shite bowling 26 fuc*in runs off it.

Worst bowling display I can ever remember!
No involvement from the captain unlike Morgan

Diabolical. Zero variation from the bowlers. Just steam in doing the same thing ball after ball getting mullered all over the ground.

Just need 400 to win.

No point playing the rest of the league matches.
Just go straight to the semis
NZ, India, SA and Aussies

Deary me, once again our pace bowlers deliver up a total load of pies for our opponents to feast on, a clueless, thoughtless and totally abject innings of bowling deliver up by them. Where are the plans? slower deliveries, knuckle balls, variation keeping the batsmen guessing?, No just send down ball after ball of similar pace and the batsmen can flog you all around the ground.

400 to win? Sure it's a great surface to bat on but we need some serious knocks by our top six to get anywhere near that total, looks like a South Africa double over England is going to happen I'm afraid, and with it any chance of World Cup success in cricket and rugby.

Terrible shot from Bairstow. Another with no form.

And then when you need 400 Joe Root comes in. Renown for his massive hitting and his huge average. Not.

The Yorkshire lads letting us down with the bat. On a serious note, we've been awful throughout the tournament and don't deserve to make the semi finals.

gone are the days when you feel we are capable of chasing a [very] big score. Batting first you get what you get but batting second then if it's a big score it just adds increased pressure on us to chase it down.

Poor decision to bat second by Bairstow, Stokes now gone, they look like they don't want to be there and can't wait to get home.... well lads, your wish is going to come true. Poor team selection too. Eoin Morgan has left a massive hole in this team for his captaincy alone.

We will be all out for under 150
