Worried by lack of transfers?

The thing is a properly run club should have all 3, a squad of players of the ability of the league they are in, a proper training ground and a proper stadium. The O's completely fucked it up but anyone buying the club had to know that it needed to do all 3 of those not one or two of them, at the moment we have none of those things.
Players come for the money not training facilities Brannigan didn't stay at Oxford for the training facilities it was the wages.

Hows your perspective now?
Hasn't changed too much to be honest. Yes the summer was a poor window in the end, but I think for the majority we've been competitive up until these last 3 games. The break will be much needed and then we go again in December with a big window to come in January. I won't be reactionary based on recent results, still hopeful we'll stay up come end of season

If you dont think facilities, location, ground e.t.c. play a part in players choosing which club to go to, then you are deluded, yes money is usually the main attraction but many things influence a players decision.

Money is the driving force tell your wife great working conditions but crap wages listen to the reply Newcastle prime example was a hard sell to get players to go there now queuing to get there with Saudi money.

if what the club wants are mercenaries, many who wont put up much of a fight when things are going wrong, look at Huddersfield, or WBA, or even ManU, then splash the cash. I would hope that there are enough players in the club at the moment who have enough invested in the club to make it want to succeed. And i think there is enough talent in the club to at least survive.

I personally think there is a different way to run a football club, that doesn't involve some reputation laundering for a dodgy middle eastern regime or sociopathic billionaire or simply handing the reins to a simple profit seeking fund management outfit.

Quite agree but are Newcastle supporters bothered resounding no iam afraid

"players just don't seem to want to join us". Have I missed something here, or do you know something we don't? The club run a tight ship, nothing leaks, everything you see about players is paper speculation. We don't know what's happening on the inside, what players were talking to or chasing etc. For all we know next week we might go and announce 3 great signings. To be worried about a lack of transfer activity when there's still 4 weeks until the season starts, as well as a new manager being in the job for just over 2 weeks seems an over reaction to me.

And to talk about Sadler not having the money is just the most stupid and ridiculous comment, because I'd say 30m on a new stand and new training ground shows some real financial capability.

Sit back, chill out, get some perspective 👍
I see the training ground is not happening now!

And way back on 1st July when many of us were concerned by the lack of signings, we have been proved to be right. Not one quality permanent signing made and some wonder why we are doing so badly. The plan to continually improve each season definitely went of the window!
