Worrying. (no doubt this will be removed)

I'd try to worry about it but 14 years of a government who have systematically ground public services in to the dirt while creaming everything they can off the top and banging on about getting our country back while our foreign owned utility companies literally throw shit in to the country we're apparently getting control back off has left me all worried out, especially when no one else seemed to give a fuck.
 
Globalisation and the very rich mean that any governments we have now pander to share holders, big business and themselves rather than the average person who lives on the street. They don’t care and therefore serious issues such as healthcare, transport, pollution and immigration never get tackled properly as they don’t matter to those making seriously big money.
 
So there is the proof in the section that has been removed, a section important to the whole argument, in which I was putting forward how certain sections of our society believe they should be treated, but are unwilling in return to reciprocate, and thus altering the whole meaning of the post.

If Labour councillors resign from the party on an issue regarding the party’s foreign policy, that suggests they have lost touch with the number of issues that need to be sorted out closer to home. And that should be their priority.

Overall though does anyone outside the local area give a shit what happens on Pendle Council? It’s simply being highlighted in the national media to encourage those who are desperate to vote Tory and just want a reason to pin their decision on.

Meanwhile as Lytham FY8 says, we have had 14 years of Tory “rule” which have left this country in a compete mess.

I would say Governments choose to pander to the above.

I am reading Bernie Sanders book “It’s OK to be angry about capitalism” at the minute. He believes there is another way, He also illustrates how powerful vested interests are in trying to stop any change to the status quo.

My suspicion on reading that article is that the timing has been deliberate - following the Rochdale debacle - in order to garner support for the anti-Israel tendency. Just a suspicion, mind.

It appears 1966, that you can call the Pope whatever you like, you can curse the King and his family, you can curse the Archbishop of Canterbury, say what you like about white Politicians and so on. BUT do not say anything and I mean anything, whether it be the truth or not, about the M*****s as that will be classed as anti. I*****c and you will immediately run the risk of being classed as racist. How? I don't know because they are not a race, it is a religion with various sects who also fall out with each other. So in answer to your question, no I can't rephrase the original post.

I can't say I read your original post and putting it back up will only cause problems but it's not hard to see where you are coming from.

There are posters slating Britain at every opportunity all over this forum, we are not perfect and some criticism is justified or it can be argued that it's justified but any mention of the traits of other groups such as forced marriages, homophobia, genetic disorders caused by incest, etc, etc and they are instantly removed.

I've said it before, I'll say it again and I'll keep saying it, as good a forum as this is - warts and all it's great - it is let down by the moderation which is line with the personal opinion of one man and not specific rules.

On another thread you’re arguing that the U.K. should continue arming a country that has just “murdered” (your word) three British civilians/veterans but it’s you who is the true patriot. Not the people who want to stop supplying arms to that country?

That is really weird reasoning even by your standards.

I also didn’t realise the board rules provided there was a time limit within which a poster had to reply to an earlier post. When did that come in?

You said "did you really "just" say that". It has nothing to do with time limits. As i pointed out to you I'd said it about 10 hours earlier so not a case of just or time limit.

Never ever watched GB News, even once. The BBC news at 6 o'clock is about my limit and often miss that too. On the other hand wouldn't surprise me if a few of here watched the live streaming from the House of Commons. Can't recall the name of the programme.
